I am not a fan of labels. I generally, until the past few years, thought of myself as a politically moderate individual. But, as the far right has gone farther to the right, the moderates have been forced farther to the left, and I now find that my values are most nearly associated with those of liberals. Still, I eschew labels, but yesterday I ran across this blog by fellow-blogger Dr. Rex, and it defines precisely how I see myself, my values. ANOTHER LABEL TO PROUDLY WEAR
I always thought that we were here on this Earth to advance in the different stages that we encountered.
I think we are ALL interconnected and. as such, it’s our bound duty to help one another.
No one should stay behind.
No one should be left alone.
What I care about is what the person is really inside.
The feelings, the beliefs, the nature.
I strongly believe in doing the right thing.
Do unto others as you would like done unto you.
If that makes me a LIBERAL, then I’m proud to be one.
