Is It Possible That President Will Fire Sessions And Mueller While Congress Is In Recess?

One of my favourite bloggers, Gronda Morin, is supposed to be on vacation in order to recover from a bad case of “trump-itis”, but while soaking in the sun and surf, she simply cannot stay away from the fray! Today she poses a very interesting question … merely a speculation … but of late we have learned that even our wildest imaginings can become reality. Take a minute, if you will, to read Gronda’s post and think about this purely hypothetical scenario. Many thanks, Gronda, for both the post and permission to share!

THE FOLLOWING COMMENTARY IS SPECULATION ONLY.

Anyone who reads my blogs knows that I am not into conspiracy theories I don’t comment on them unless it is a matter of fact checking to tag a claim as being false.

But I have a fellow blogger Crustyolemothman who is very worried about a lot of chatter that he has been hearing/ reading about how the republican President Donald Trump plans to fire the US Attorney General Jeff Sessions while Congress is in recess.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday (7/20/17) brushed off the public sharp criticism rendered by President Trump during his 7/19/17 interview with New York Times reporters. The president complained  about Mr. Sessions decision to recuse himself from any participation in the Justice Department’s Russia investigation, saying he loved his job and planned to continue serving. • That is hysterical!!! You are so right … he has Trump nailed!!! I gave up watching t.v. a year or so ago, as it just didn’t interest me, so no I had not seen that show. Thank you SO much for sharing that link, though … best laugh I’ve had all day!

  1. Hi Jill.
Gronda’s post up to its continuing high standard.
I’ll sort of repeat the statement on Gronda’s post.
History lays out for all to see the forces which are always at play. You cannot actually shape History simply navigate the currents and the tides. This frantic crisis management in trying to keep a leaky vessel afloat by throwing ‘stuff’ and crew overboard will not get them to calm waters, much less a successful voyage.
I’ll conclude the nautical metaphors by using a quote from Michael Herr’s despatches.
“It’s like the captain of the Titanic saying ‘Nothing to worry about folks. We’ve just stopped to take on a little ice’ “

    • True … but he has already, at least to my way of thinking, admitted to a level of guilt. I mean, who thinks about pardoning themselves if they know they are innocent? And his admission that he saw the email to Junior last year … no way he can make me believe he did not know what that meeting was about! So, give him some rope and he will hang himself. 🙂
