I have fallen behind in sharing John Fioravanti’s posts about Canadian Black History Month, but this evening I am sharing one about an awesome woman who has spend a lifetime fighting for the rights of not only black people, but also families and women, Ms. Anne C. Senator Cools was the first black person to become a Canadian senator, and the first black woman senator in North America. These are just two of the many firsts and other leading roles she has taken on in her life.
