Hear The Children’s Cries As They Are Separated From Parents Seeking Asylum At US SW Border

This post, my friends, speaks for itself and needs no introduction from me. Thank you, Gronda, for this post and for all that you do for us, for this nation. Hugs.

Gronda Morin

Thanks to the media outlet Propublica, we have access to the above video. Please be aware that the sound of the children’s wailing as they are being separated from their parents seeking asylum at the US southwest border, are heartbreaking.

This is a new protocol that was started with President Donald Trump’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions with his April 6, 2018 memo. As per Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the president can end this practice of separating children from the parents with one phone call. Telling the migrants to apply for asylum at the US designated points of entry is not a realistic direction as most peoples are being turned away. There are stories about peoples waiting weeks to gain entry.

As per international law, it is NOT illegal for peoples fleeing danger, persecution, war like circumstances, to ask for asylum.

Any other republican talking point other than the above…

  1. While Trump claimed credit for reversing his approval of child separation Wednesday, the political damage done to him as a result of the inhumane policy he escalated here will remain. I don’t trust anything he says. For all we know his new action could just be one of his many lies.

  2. This is bs. Snopes said this is unproven on the supposed date. Whoever published it cannot and won’t verify it. All of the pictures posted recently about this, were from 2014. Whose was President then? Not Trump. Where was the indignation then? The Russia thing isn’t going nowhere, so now the liberals want to jump on a policy that Bill Clinton put in place, and Obama continued. This is why Hillary lost, people are sick and tired of the liberal propaganda. I only agree with, maybe, 30% of what Trump has done. I didn’t vote for him or Hillary. I would have voted for Bernie Sanders. But back room politics, by the DNC, put Hillary out there. The only one that Trump had a shot of beating. The only thing that Trump did was get rid of Obama’s catch and release policy. That’s it. This separation has been going on for awhile now. I just can’t believe how gullible the left is. Check snopes before you try to publish the “truth”.

  3. Good share Jill

  4. As you know Jill, I am trying to avoid a lot of the bad stuff these days. I have not got the stomach to watch this, but I am aware of what happens on your Southern border. A wall does not fix this. The current horrendous policy does not fix this. Arrest or deportation does not fix this. Overburdening the American social care program does not fix this.

This story of refugees (because that is who these families are), is being played out all over the world. Population is in crisis and there are only two solutions that can help the immediate future, accept and integrate, or reject and war.

For the long term, I just don’t know.😞 Population must decrease, but some countries reward it. Russia rewards families with money and awards if they have seven or more children. They then train those children (some very young) in the art of war. I fear that there will be terrible wars coming. And Mr Trump is likely to ho in with ‘guns blazing.’ 😖

    • I couldn’t watch more than about a minute of it either, truth be told. And I agree with your assessment. Even China has relaxed their ‘one child’ rule, for in certain areas their population was declining. As to the future? Like you, I cannot say. Learn to get along together and stop propagating the bloomin’ earth, stop polluting it, might be a good place to start, but it doesn’t appear likely. In truth, I sometimes think that man is on his way toward extinction and then none of this will matter. Sorry … not a very cheerful response, is it. I don’t blame you a bit for trying to avoid the bad stuff … I’m betting the suicide rate in this nation doubles in 2017-2018. And you know psychiatrists have to be rolling in dough his year! Me? Wine and cigarettes, and occasionally kicking something. 😉

      • Most decisions are out of the hands of Joe Public. Yeah, we elect the political leaders, but they are imperfect, narcissistic (necessary to be in such high profile) at best and psychopathic at worst. It is a recipe for disaster no matter how you cut the political cake.
Trump’s recent reversal (to let the kids stay with illegal immigrants) has opened up a whole slew of issues, not least of which is that those children already taken away, were sent to other places with no record of who their parents were. This may or may not have occurred during several political administrations prior to the current one, but smacks of something quite evil.

        • Something is sure as heck burning … I smell it! The ‘executive order’ was not sufficient, and was naught more than a photo op while signing a piece of paper agreeing to stop abusing a group of people. He deserves no kudos, no pats on the back, and neither does Congress. And now, since those kids are scattered willy nilly, and somebody forgot to record their parents’ names, some are lost. Oh, I know what’s burning now … it is my temper … 👿

  5. I really couldn’t stomach listening to this again, it’s heartbreaking. At least Trump is now showing signs of common decency ( sorry I didn’t intend to be funny, it just came out that way) through his lapdog Mitch McConnell Lets hoe a suitable and quick solution can be found with the help of the Democrats.

    • I have to admit that I could only listen to a brief bit of it. But it is not people like you and I who need to hear it anyway. One reader suggested it should be played 24/7 in the Oval Office and Congress. I agree. And don’t be too quick to give Trump credit for decency … he is determined that his policy will not end until he gets the funding for his bloomin’ wall, and I will be surprised if he voluntarily backs down from that. I think Congress will have to force his hand, and I don’t know if there are enough brave enough to do so. I, too, hope for a quick solution. No child deserves what those kids are going through.

  6. I don’t think I can stomach any more of the articles and videos on this. I want to scream and cry at the same time. I don’t care what a person’s opinion is on immigration… this is child abuse and it’s NEVER okay!

    • I agree with you … I must admit that I was unable to listen to more than a brief snippet, but it isn’t people like you and I who need to hear it. Ellen suggested it should be played 24/7 in the Oval Office and throughout Congress. I have to agree! Let us hope this ends soon, for I am beginning to wonder what kind of country we are living in.
