♫ Somewhere ♫

Somewhere
Barbra Streisand

Someday
Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere

There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere

There’s a time for us
Someday there’ll be a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn
Time to care

Someday
Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find there’s a way of forgiving
Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere

There’s a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and we’re half way there
Hold my hand and I’ll take you there
Somehow
Someday
Somewhere

  1. I adore Barbara Streisand’s singing voice, she’s magnificent but oddly enough my favourite version of this is by P J Proby, who (in my opinion) was a better singer than Elvis Presley. He was a Texan who I think had more success out of the States than in.
He also does a brilliant version of Maria which is also from West Side Story like this one. Memorable songs.

    • Believe it or not, the name P.J. Proby rang no bells with me, so I did a quick Google search, thinking he must be a British singer, only to find out that I really should have heard of him, but as you said, he seemed to be more popular outside the U.S.. I haven’t yet listened to his rendition, but plan to as soon as I finish answering comments, for you have piqued my curiosity. I also love the song “Maria” … I know you are not a fan of musicals, but I think West Side Story is my favourite … or at least one of my faves. I’ll let you know whether I prefer Proby’s version after I listen to it.
