This afternoon I am working on a couple of posts, including tomorrow’s Good People, so I am taking the easy way out and bringing you some chuckles … at least I hope they make you chuckle and not grab your head in pain!

That is very true! It’s amazing what a good laugh can do. I sometimes forget that, or sometimes simply cannot find humour in anything for a brief time. Laughter, good friends, and a glass of wine!

Dear Jill,
You picked out some great cartoons. I love especially the first one and the last one. We have been talking about this Nov. 2018 elections and all the Never Trumpers prevailed in sending President Trump a message that he needs to get. He and his followers are in the minority. The breakdown of registered voters as of Sept.-Oct 2018, 40% are Independent, Democrats are 31% and republicans are at 29%. Both parties can’t cater only to their bases as they need the Independents’ votes.

The last was definitely my favourite, and I also especially liked the one of the Capitol Building with the pink hat on the rotunda!
You’re right … the uber-partisanship is changing this nation, and not in a positive way. I didn’t realize how low the percentage of democrats is — 31%. So, truly, the Independents are in the majority and will hold the key to any election. A unique situation.
