Much better than a stuffy old press conference, Jill. 😀 — Suzanne

I hope that cheering audience, reflects the mood of America and Trump is well and truly booted into oblivion (where he belongs) in your 2020 elections.

It reflects the mood of over half of the country, but … don’t hold your breath for 2020. Sigh. 😦

Love a good satirist, and this was good. Such a pity that it is needed.

I have to wonder what the cartoonists and comedians will do if there is ever a post-Trump era?

Colbert, and his writers, have a definite way with words. (I would hate to find out he wears MAGA hats at home, Jill.) Juxtaposition has been made into an art form under Trump.

Somehow I cannot picture him wearing a maga hat at all! You’re right … whatever will the political cartoonists and comedians do post-Trump? Or … will there even be a post-Trump?

Possibly not for us, though if life was fair he would be dead before us. We all know life isn’t fair. His McDonalds diet might preserve him for centuries.

That is just what I have often thought. Remember Billy Joel’s “Only the Good Die Young”? He damn sure isn’t “good” …

My father always swore he to too mean to die. But he did. Maybe Trump will die too.

Sooner would be better! Like, maybe on his way back from G20?

Like you said, sooner would be better. He’s probably going to diss someone there too, he has everywhere else he has gone.

He dissed the entire country of Japan before he even arrived there, much as he dissed London’s mayor Sadiq Khan before landing in London! He seems to think it makes him look tough to be a bastard, or else he thinks he’s funny. Whichever, I find it disgusting! No doubt there will be more embarrassing moments before the summit is ended. Sigh.

What would we do without the late night comedians to put it in perspective for us?

Can’t watch it because I have it DVRd to watch tonight. I watch him every night but with a day delay….love Colbert!

He is funny, and has Trump down to a T. You’ll enjoy it when you do watch it!

He is funny, and rather like a political cartoon, usually spot on. Fava beans and chianti??? You? I just can’t picture it. More like BFG and Pepsi Max!

That’s my reputation for style and flair out the window, Thanks!

Awww … you’ve still got style and flair, and you’re still a classy dude, even without the beans and wine. 😉
