I have something for you today that is guaranteed to melt your heart! My friend Herb sent me this a few days ago, as he knows of my love for critters …
Meet Skywalker, a tiny polydactyl kitten with an extra digit resembling a thumb. Skywalker was taken to the veterinary hospital when he was just three weeks old and weighed less than a pound.
Kim Dowie, whose husband used to work at the vet center, got the kitten home and their pet dog – Mojito, a Golden Retriever started giving him all the love.
He would shower kisses on Skywalker and they would cuddle for a long time! Mojito doubled up as the mother of the kitten, cleaning him, snuggling with him and ensuring that we would never be alone at any point of time.
When Bird TV covered the wonderful relation between Skywalker and Mojito, it went viral!
Before they met, Mojito bonded with another cat named Vader. She would follow the kitty around the house until Vader caved in and let her bathe and love him.
Now Mojito is thrilled to have Skywalker to be her new constant cuddly friend.
The love they share is similar to a child and a mother, as Mojito protects it all the time. With time, their relation only grew stronger and Mojito is a wonderful dog that showers love on everybody!

Yes, still here. Will be here till end of Feb. Hubby recovering from his surgery to remove a skin carcinoma. He has stitches that will be removed at the end of the week, and recieve his biopsy results.
Then we go to the North of Thailand on a basic third class train.

I’m so glad you liked them! I fell in love with them when I saw the first picture! A brief respite from the political chaos of the day, but a respite nonetheless. Stress free and relaxing did you say??? You’re kidding, right? Just over a week ’til Christmas is not gonna lend itself to ‘stress free’ or ‘relaxing’! And if I could just find a little bit of holiday spirit, I wouldn’t mind so much, but as it is, I just want it to be over. Sigh. Love ‘n hugs to you, soul sister! ❤ ❤ ❤

Glad the link worked! No, I hadn’t read it, but I did just now and … oh, be still my heart! That was such a wonderful story that I made Miss Goose come and we read it together. Aren’t animals just wonderful? As Mary said, too bad humans aren’t more like animals. Thanks for pointing me to that story … it made me laugh and almost cry at the same time!

I think that had to be what happened, for they said the doggy door was too high for the kitten to reach. I think you and I should bookmark that one and every time we get too full of angst, we should go back and re-watch it!

I’m winding down, there a lot of snapping and snarling going down on the sites. Many of Corbyn’s devoted are blaming everyone else but themselves and some trying to invent painfully inept conspiracy theories. (though I go along with a little bit of Russian cash finding its way into some accounts- it’s an old political ploy for like thousands of years so it’s credible as a titbit but not a binding cause for an election win). Other folk are turning on the Corbyn crew. (they had it coming)
Some of us are just saying we are taking time out to regroup and repair. Saying sort of ‘cheerio for the moment, will be back in the new year’. Cyber hugs and waves and best wishes all around such posts….It seems the most healthy and dignified way- that’s what I opted for.
Advent/Christmas to celebrate as a religious time, family to be there for, Christmas holiday ‘stuff’ to do, and of course a book to try and finish the first draft of my the end of the month.

Although I didn’t pay as much attention to happenings leading up to your election as I would have liked, it seemed to me that much of the reason the Conservatives won was that there really wasn’t an appealing alternative. Corbyn surely wasn’t it, though I think he was the lesser of the two evils. You’re right, though … it’s the holidays and family comes first. Sigh. I’m struggling with that, for I have no motivation or inspiration this year. I will be glad to see January 2nd come and get back to the routine. I’m putting on my smile, and going along with the girls’ plans, but my heart isn’t into it.

I certainly hope Skywalker’s people allow him/her to be a parent. If those “thumbs” are reproduceable that would be a huge evolutionary step for felines. And in our lifetime!

From what I’ve read, the ‘thumbs’ happen every so often, it’s a genetic defect and they aren’t opposable. They’re cute, though, aren’t they?

Clumsy-cute. He or she will have to grow into them. What isn’t opposable now can become opposable. Just look at Trump!
