I debated whether I wanted to do a Jolly Monday post today, for my motivation seemed to have disappeared and taken my inspiration along with it. But then, I was doing a bit of online shopping, browsing for some unique stocking stuffers and I came across some things that just seemed to call out to be shared! So, I got a smidge of motivation and a tad of inspiration, though this may well be a shorter than usual Jolly Monday, and I hope you will be forgiving of that.
As we are only nine days from Christmas now, Jolly and I thought themed treats were in order …
Now, let’s start off this “week-before-Christmas” post with something I can definitely relate to!
As I said, I was doing a bit of online shopping. See, I went out stocking shopping tonight for a bit, but I was so tired that I only got enough to fill the girls’ stockings about halfway and didn’t even make a start on the boys’ stockings … we always do stockings for our friends’ boys, Tholfaqar, Ibraheem, and Yousif. Though Tholfaqar is 19 years old now, it’s a tradition and it seems unfair to leave him out of the stocking exchange! I was planning to hit another store to try to finish up, but when I came out of the first one, after about an hour or hour-and-a-half, everything had turned white! Yep, s-n-o-w! The roads were already slick, and I just didn’t feel like going anywhere else, so I came home in hopes of finishing up online. I was looking for some warm socks for daughter Chris and I found this lovely pair … fleece lined and everything …
And only … $49.95!!! Well, with tax it actually comes to $53.20 … a mere pittance, right? WRONG. Daughter Chris is NOT getting those socks in her stocking!
And then, one of Amazon’s recommendations for me was this …The description reads …
Do you know someone who loves dogs…too much? This 12 month calendar of pooping dogs will be the most memorable gift you give this year. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving; each month reveals yet another beautiful pooch answering nature’s call. And who doesn’t like a good cause? $1 FROM EACH CALENDAR is donated to the Maui Humane Society to support animals in need!
Um … a good cause, but no … thank you but no.
And then, looking for cat-themed gifts brought up …WHO KNEW??? I had no idea I needed to have this talk with our moggies! Thank goodness I stumbled ‘cross this book, else our poor little moggies (yeah, the ones who never leave the house and scurry under the sofa whenever there is a knock on the door 🙄) might have … gulp … come to a horrible end!
Long gone are the good old days when a cat’s biggest worries were mean dogs or a bath. Modern cats must confront satanists, online predators, the possibility of needing to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and countless other threats to their nine lives.
Needless to say, it was a bargain for only $9.18!
And then there was this … I mean, who doesn’t want a yodeling pickle???
- Hours of mindless entertainment
- Batteries included
- Great gift for the person who has everything except a yodeling pickle
A steal at only $14.95!!!
And last, but not least … I know Jolly Monday is supposed to be 100% non-political, but I hope you’ll forgive me just this once, for this one is too good to pass up! It’s a “Pull My Finger Farting Donald Trump Plush Figure Doll -With Animated Hair-10.5 Inches Tall”, described as …
Press the button to hear hilarious phrases come from the PMF POTUS’s mouth while it also plays a farting noise. President Trump has never been funnier with his hair flopping and his mouth yapping and his butt farting. Excellent sound quality and animation. This would be a great item to buy along with the Donald Trump toilet paper, Donald Trump Sound button, Donald Trump Talking Pen. This is a great version of a Trump talking figure. Sounds just like trump, it will have you laughing as soon as you press his finger. He loves to tweet and twitter and fart a lot. Take a Dump with Trump. MAKES A GREAT STOCKING STUFFER! NO FAKE NEWS HERE!
Well, folks, that’s all I’ve got for the moment, but there is one Jolly Monday left before Christmas, so I’ll see what I can come up with before then! Meanwhile, I hope you all have a great week ahead, hope you don’t have to be overwhelmed with holiday-related chores, and … most of all, I hope you are happy. Be sure to share those smiles with all you see, for that’s really what the spirit of Christmas is all about, isn’t it? I leave you with one last Christmas poem that is from me and Jolly, to all of you …
