Last week was one heck of a roller coaster ride! I won’t bore you with the details, but suffice it to say that it is now 1:00 a.m. on Monday morning and I haven’t given more than a passing thought to Jolly Monday. I owe Phil Cointreau over at Phil’s Phun a debt of gratitude for coming to my rescue with ‘toons, ‘memes and more!
Since I did promise my disappointed bacon lovers that I would make it up to them this week, me ‘ Joyful have been in the kitchen all morning long cooking up bacon … and other stuff, too. So, grab a snack, a cuppa your choice, and hopefully we can start the week out with a smile … or at least with a full belly!
And now for some fun ‘toons …
I’ve got just a few fun memes …

This is ME!!! I swear somebody was inside my mind when they wrote this one!
And now folks, I might skimp on the funny stories or even {gasp} the bacon on Jolly Monday, but no way am I leaving Jolly Monday without a cute or funny animal video!
And now, my friends, Jolly, Joyful and I wish you the happiest of weeks … and please share your smiles this week, for it makes you feel happier, and it makes the person your smiling with feel happier, too. A win-win! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!
LOVED this! Thanks for the manyfold smiles I collected.

Super toons, Jill. In the video, the cat and the cucumber were classic.

I’m glad you got a chuckle out of it, John. I have to admit that I rewound it at the point of the cat and cucumber or zucchini a few times, for that one made me laugh!

So typical of the dear ones.

It is, indeed! I love watching them scare themselves … on purpose. Our Boo (short for Booker T Washington) has been in the hospital for two nights, just got out tonight … had a gall bladder infection and was dehydrated & constipated. Care to guess how much the bill for that was? 🤯

I have been there. Easy grand. Hope Boo is okay now.

Try $3,027. Sigh. Boo is doing better, he’s eating, but all the kitties are acting freakish at the moment … it takes them a few days to settle back in, I guess. And Boo does rather stink now!

They all hate the hospital smell. They think it is a different cat. We used to take out two twins to the hospital together even if only one needed attention. Yes the size of those bills are pretty usual these days.

I think you’re right … the others act as if they don’t even recognize him. It’s a little better today, and he’s eating now, so hopefully we are out of the woods.

Bacon aplenty! Good stuff, especially the couple needing “separate checks.”

I knew you’d enjoy the bacon! And yeah … separate checks and maybe the name of a good divorce lawyer! Have a great week, Larry!

Jill, too funny. I love the chalkboard saying near the end. By the way, I always seem to want a cup of coffee and a BLT after scrolling through this. Keith

I’m glad you started the week with a chuckle! Yes, as I noted in the caption, that saying is exactly me! My mind bounces from one thing to another, never quite finishing a thought before moving on to the next! Well, I hope you had a cuppa and a BLT, then! It’s all good for the spirit!

A great post, Jill. My favorites of the cartoons were the brain-dead TV watcher, Puddin the fat dog, and the aliens who are coming in peas. 😀 — Suzanne

I loved the Fox News and the Me and Jackson are the same……..because obviously has parents who don’t make colour a difference that matters. Should be a law that.
Thanks for the snack, I definitely went sugar free.

Those were two of my favourites as well … and I fully agree … there ought to be a law about that. Kids don’t judge based on such things as skin colour, until their parents pass on their own prejudices. As a wise man once said, parents shouldn’t be allowed to raise their children. 😉

A little of both, I think … genius and bonkers. But ever so lovable.
