Where were you and what were you doing in 1969? I had just graduated from high school, was debating what to do with my life. My dad wanted me to be the son he never had and follow in his footsteps, but I already knew that wasn’t what I wanted. Wow, Michael!!! That is outrageous! We always get a live tree … I hope they’re not that much here, for if they are, we won’t be having one! I don’t even have a cherry tree that I can decorate, but I’ll find something.

You’re right, rg … perhaps this year we shall simply do without any sort of tree … I don’t even care right now. In fact, I don’t care if there is a Christmas or a New Year or … anything.
