The Week’s Best Cartoons 12/5

Mind bounce has kicked in today, and I’m unable to produce a single coherent sentence!  Mostly, I think, it’s that I’m sick and tired of writing about you-know-who and the shenanigans the you-know-what-party is trying to use to overturn the will of the people.  So, I turn to TokyoSand for her latest post of political cartoons, and she doesn’t disappoint!  Thank you, TS!

  1. Jill, right now, I just want this corrupt and deceitful person to just go away. I want to be able to officially ignore his rantings, not try to read through them for any thing important. He is the greatest threat to national security and these GOP Senators, except for a few, cannot bring themselves to protect our country with a few simple words – Man up, Mr. Trump, admit you lost. • I share your desire for this to just go away … it is taking a toll on all of us, I think. I’ve largely ignored his rantings, but even so, we have to ‘keep our thumb on the pulse’, stay abreast of the latest. He is, indeed, a greater threat to our national security than any Middle Eastern terrorist group! And he manages to convince a large portion of our population that he is right. Grrrrrrrrr. I think that even once he’s back at Mar-a-Lago and Joe Biden is in the White House, Trump still will not admit defeat.

      • Jill, with his very fragile ego, the outgoing president will never say he lost. The election will be stolen and that is the story we will hear for four years. I went on a blogger who follows the conspiracy stuff and it is a very scary place indeed. Keith

      • I heard a newsman say on TV this morning (night your time) that he now believes Trump actually believes he didn’t lose and will be president another four years so he’s actually mentally ill. I’ve thought that all along. His mind has really snapped. Howard Stern warned him not to run for President because he might lose his mind. 😦 — Suzanne

        • One more than one occasion, psychologists have diagnosed Trump from afar as being mentally ill, and it’s certainly not hard to believe, given that he will say one thing on camera, then the next day deny that he said it, even when shown the clip. I would not be at all surprised if he actually believes his lies, believes that he is a genius far smarter than even his most experienced and educated advisors. Sigh. So, how on earth to some 74 million people still support him??? I just don’t get it!

          • Some of those poor ill-educated people actually do believe him. Some could also be suffering from dementia. The senators and representatives are the ones I wonder about. One man said they need either a doctor to examine them for spines or a psychologist to examine their minds. 😦 — Suzanne

            • They do … just as in a Pavlovian experiment, they act as they are taught to act, with no real conscious thought. Sit up. Bark. Play dead. Jim Jones tapped into that mentality back in the 70s and I fear today is not much different. They are not mentally deficient, but rather they are greedy monsters who have decided to put their own fortunes ahead of our lives.
