A disgusting lack of leadership

Keith has expressed my own views, only so much better than I typically do. Thank you, Keith!

The following are the views of a former Republican and now Independent voter. I did not vote for the former president either time and remain puzzled why people would vote for such a well-documented untruthful, egomaniacal bully.

On Friday, I read that Senator Mitch McConnell would support the seditious former president if he were the 2024 presidential nominee. Note, this is after McConnell denounced the former president for his role in the insurrection against a branch of government, which of course, put McConnell and his colleagues in danger. And, unsurprisingly, Mr. McConnell chose not to vote to convict the former president before he admitted said person was guilty.

This is a disgusting lack of leadership in a country that needs this party to help offer some form leadership. But, as of this writing, people who voted as leaders to impeach or convict the seditious former president, have been vilified, censured…

  1. Thank you for sharing!!.. at the risk of repeating myself, again, it is about the “foundation”, what they believe with their closes minded ideology and they are Trump’s (and other politicians) “audience” and he tells them what they wish to hear.. and to be honest, the Democrats have a “closed minded foundation” also and technology has given both sides a voice and everyone else is caught in the middle… hopefully those caught in the middle (no matter race, gender or belief) will be able to come together and have the final say… 🙂

    • I am the same, my friend. I am furious tonight that the minimum wage will not likely be increased for yet another year … and yet our elected officials, whose salaries we pay, don’t care that people are being evicted from their homes and cannot afford food for their children! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I’m just about of the notion we should fire them all next election, demolish both parties, and start over from scratch. Sigh. Hugs, my friend.

  2. Thanks for the reblog and kind words. It is especially needed after the CPAC folks believe what AG William Barr turned “bulls**t” regarding the seditious former president’s election fraud lies. Keith

    • I fully agree. I read a few days ago that a large percentage … I don’t remember the exact number, but more than half of republicans STILL believe Trump won the election. My jaw dropped when I read that. I’m beginning to truly despair for the future of this country, especially if the GOP continues to hitch it’s wagon to Trump & Co.
