Brief Update …

As many of you know, I have spent this week in the hospital.  I was discharged this afternoon, they say my heart, lungs and kidneys are improving, but I am far from feeling better.  I hope to get back up to speed on ye olde blog next week, but it will likely be slow going.  I appreciate you sticking with me through this difficult time and I promise to be back in the saddle soon.  Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa

  1. I’m afraid Jill had to be readmitted on 17th and is expected to be there for about a week. She’s responded to some further treatment and is getting her appetite back slowly. Not sure whether it’s for food or just building up the Snark. With luck we may start to see her back at work in small stages from next week 27th?

  2. oh my love, don’t you worry one mo about your blog readers! The only important item at this time is YOU and getting better, if at all possible.
Bless you, not getting angry, not being snarky, is certainly helping your healing process – so maybe it’s better you’re not back too quickly?! 😉
Holding you in my thoughts, as always. Cheers!

  3. I was missing you, and worrying. I hope you are on the mend, letting those who love you look after you. And that you are feeling all the love and good wishes from everyone here on the blog. You have championed so many people for such a long time, now it is time to put yourself first. The analogy is the instruction in air safety ~ you have to put your own oxygen mask on before you put the kids’ masks on. You have to look after yourself so that you can fight the good fight on behalf of others. Take care my friend. Hugs and good wishes to you from the other side of the world 😘😻

  4. Well, that’s one piece of good news. You know, the way 2020/2021 has been going, you’re a bright spot that I depend on. Now get better. We’re here, waiting. No pressure but my snarky snippets low level warning light is blinking. Hugs and cheers, my friend. Twice over.

  6. Hey friend – I was searching for you yesterday, and worried, but I am so glad you are home from the hospital. Now, as many here have already said, now is the time to look after you! Take the time you need to recover, stay away from the news, and just breathe.

  7. At the risk of being redundant…please, just this one time…put Jill’s well-being as your first priority! As I am never at a loss for a quote, (whether good or bad, I leave it for you to decide) I will offer two of my favorites from Jack Kornfield. Jack Kornfield is a trained Buddhist monk, author of many books and teacher of vipassana. I am tempted to indulge my Propensity for Loquacity but do not wish to tire you unnecessarily. The quotes : 1) “If your compassion does not include yourself it is incomplete.” 2) “The path through trouble is always made a step at a time, a breath at a time, a day at a time.” Give at least a small measure of the amount of time that you lovingly devote to “Filosofa’s Word” to your body’s needs. WHAK!! Thank-you!

  8. Sticking with you??? I don’t think ANY of us would do any less!

Very good to hear you’re home. Even that in itself has healing powers, right? Anyway, continue to rest and take care of yourself (and stay away from the cigs!). Brighter days are on the way. ❤❤

  9. Thanks for sharing!!.. were not aware that you were in the hospital… glad that you are on the mend and do take care, take your time and get well.. there are battles yet to be fought… 🙂

    Until we meet again….
May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

  11. It’s great to hear that you are well enough to be discharged. Please take it easy (to coin a phrase) and come back when you feel ready, not because you think you have to. My thoughts are with you 😊

  12. Dear Jill, please take it easy! Let yourself be pampered by your loved ones, do everything extra slow, and keep listening to this body of yours – if it says “enough, I need rest”, then please obey. I know the habit of overruling those signs .. “Ignore it and it will go away” has been a motto for a long time in my family (especially my dad was champion ignoring bodily stuff), but it is not a very wise one, and there always comes a point when you pay for it. So please give your body kind attention. – Hugs & Cheers from over the pond!

  13. Jill is back!
    Jill is back!
    Jill is back!
    Jill is back!
    Yeaaaa Jill!
OK, now that’s out of my system, I am so pleased to see you here on WP Jill, Ellen gave me the good news through a reply to my post; there was going to be an e-mail but there was the good old Jill trademark.
You take care and take things slow for a while, just find a metaphysical stream in a metaphysical sun dappled shade and sit there a while 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺.

  14. Just take care of yourself Jill…. that’s your only job for right now. Thanks very much for the update!! I’m sure Jeff and I were not the only ones who were wondering! Please keep us all in the loop but only when you’re up to dropping a line to all of us!
