{yawn} Huh? OH … Sorry ’bout that … good Monday morning, my friends! C’mon in … Jolly, take their coats, please. Overlook the mess … I was lazy this weekend! So, did you all have a reasonably pleasant weekend? Mine was okay … didn’t do anything special, but just being lazy with the girls home was good enough for me. Now, Joyful has prepared some breakfast, I believe, so grab a snack and a cuppa Joe to help you wake up, and then we’ve got some fun ‘toons, pictures, and memes to start your week off with a laugh or two!
First, to warm your heart, we have some really cute animal pictures …
Then on to some cartoons!!!
Just a few memes Jolly, Joyful and I found funny …
And of course it just wouldn’t be Jolly Monday without a cute animal video, now would it?
Well, friends, that’s all we have for this Monday morning. Keep warm and safe out there, and please remember to share those smiles! Maybe if you know somebody who really needs a laugh or two, bring them with you next Monday morning … the more the merrier!!! Love ‘n hugs to you all from Filosofa, Jolly, and Joyful!
great picture of the giraffe; I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby one… and I like the glazed donut joke…

I’m so glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday, Jim! I’ve seen baby giraffes in zoos with their mothers … they are so cute, but then … aren’t all animals? Have a great rest-‘o-the-week!

The morning is about to transform into afternoon and one hopes that by then the carbohydrates and fats hiding in the delectable offerings transform as well or just altogether disappear…I can wait for a few more minutes if that will happen, but the onion salad is not an acceptable option! Smile inducing and laughter provoking content from beginning to end by the J-Team!!! An old “Benjaminism” that is recently being spread far and wide by myself is applicable to the adorable video, it does : “tickle the heart”! WHAK!! Thank-you Joyful, Jolly and Jill!

Uh-oh … did you feast a bit too much on the goodies? Now just what is wrong with the salad? Yes, it has some red onions, but also Romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese … it’s healthy and tasty! 😄 We are all so glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday this week and that you found a reason to laugh here! I love the Benjaminism and hope that perhaps he’ll even get to see some of this post. I do miss seeing him comment on Jolly Monday! WHAK!!!

Once the detested onions have touched on or within any food it is considered to be contaminated and inedible! It may then not surprise you that in times, now past, when in a restaurant prior to placing an order the first question was : “Does this contain onions?” If the answer was yes, unknown, or unable to be verified…it was not ordered. After Covid-19 arrived dining out ceased and online ordering or via phone for pick-up or delivery became the norm. But trying to ascertain the presence of onions in food has proven to be more difficult…the answers are either yes, don’t know and/or won’t check or just an untruthful no which is discovered upon its arrival! Need I say that during childhood my detesting of onions in any form was equally detested by my Mother?! WHAK!! Thank-you!

OH MY!!! I fear you would starve to death in my house, for I don’t think there are many things I cook without onions! Well … you could stick with the sweet things like cookies, I suppose — I don’t put onions in those usually. WHAK!!!

Yeah, I hear you. At least twice a day I can be heard cursing my phone or laptop, saying, “Don’t you understand English, you b**ch???”

If you are interested, I just learned how to kill spelchek, and word prediction. It has one bad outcome, for me at least. I am a horrible typist. I now spend more time correcting myself than
finding out what Spelchek changed.
Anyway, go into Settings 》General Settings 》Keyboards 》Word Predictions. Turn that off and the BS disappears. But the typos grow like mushrooms, at least for me.

Yeah, I knew how to kill it, but I find it is helpful to me more often than it is frustrating, so I leave it alone, though I did turn off the grammar check, because I have my own style and apparently the grammar check doesn’t much care for it. There was one time that I loved spellcheck: Back in 2008 when John McCain was running for president with Sarah Palin as his choice for VP, every single time I typed “Palin” it changed it to “pain”, which I thought was quite appropriate, so I didn’t bother to teach it!!!

My pleasure, Larry!!! Yes, I can never get too much of cute, cuddly animals! And as re the idiot with the boat … I looked at that picture, then looked some more, and wondered just what possessed him (or her) to think that was a good idea???

Those are my favourites as well … our own two male cats can often be found sleeping together with their ‘arms’ wrapped around each other and no matter how many times we see them, we always stop and say, “Awwwww … look at them!” The female cats, on the other hand …

Hi Jill, thanks for making me laugh on another grey, wet, stormy Monday! Dutch winter seems a never ending story this year and I am yearning for a bit of sun and calm weather! We had another round of Covid in our house, yippee, this time is was Younger Boy and myself. But now everyone is up again and we really hope that this was it! – By the way, did you get the email I sent to you beginning of this month? I recall we have had email-issues before, so I am not sure if it has properly landed … Anyway, I hope you are well! Take care, my friend! Hugs&Cheers from over the Atlantic!

Hi Jeannie!!! I was thinking about you just a night or two ago, wishing to hear from you, missing you! You must have read my mind from ‘cross the pond!
I’m glad to have made you laugh, but sorry your winter, like ours, seems to be an endless landscape of grey, dreary skies.
Oh no!!! I’m so happy to hear that you are both well once again, though! I don’t know how, with daughter Chris being a nurse, but we have dodged the Covid bullet thus far (touch wood).
Aaaarrggghhh! Yes, I DID get your email on February 3rd and somehow in my muddled mind, I thought I had already answered it! I just checked, it is still in my inbox, and I haven’t answered it! I’m so sorry, but I promise to do so before this day is over! Thank you for reminding me! I think my recent and ongoing heart troubles have also affected my brain!
Hugs ‘n cheers to you, dear friend!

Hi again! No worries about not having replied yet … I am happy to know my email did end up in the right place. 🙂 – And even more happy that at least you guys have been able to dodge Covid so far (fingers crossed for the future!)! With your current health issues, that virus is the last thing you need. Definitely better we got it instead 😉 It was no fun, but none of us was seriously ill. Both Hubby and I still feel the post-Covid tiredness, but I am sure this will get better when spring comes. Yesterday I worked in the garden a bit, raking some leaves the last storm hat deposited there, and it made me feel so much better. 🙂 Being outside, tending my garden, fixes everything, at least for me 🙂 And today, for the first time in what feels like ages, the wind has calmed down. They even promise us sun for tomorrow! Yeah! – Hugs&Cheers!

I am VERY glad to know that none of you were seriously ill with Covid! I can picture you out working in your garden with a look of sheer joy on your face. I long for the day I can once again go for a long walk in the park, as I used to do nearly every day, weather permitting. I do hope you got your promised sunshine today and that you and the boys got out and enjoyed it! Here, it is cloudy again and loud thunderstorms last night! We didn’t see the kitties for hours! 🤣 But I cannot complain, for I know you’ve had much worse than we have this winter. We had one major ice storm followed by snow that caused problems, but only one. Hugs, love, ‘n cheers, dear friend!
