    • I’m glad if the ‘toons helped tune out some of the ugliness, even if only for a few minutes, and brought a smile to your face. I know I find myself truly amazed when something makes me smile, for I guess I thought I had truly lost the ability. We humans are pretty resilient, though, but we do have our limits. Glad you enjoyed the ‘toons!!!

  2. All this, but it cannot cure Uvalde. Sorry to be a downer, but I worry for the USA, and I worry for the world. I know we won’t see the future through our present eyes, but will there be new eyes to see what will then be the present? It is possible your future wolf may never have to smell a scent of humanity. That might be a good thing, yes?

    • Well, my friend, no — the humour cannot cure Uvalde — nothing so simple can. But … we need to sometimes refresh in order to be able to keep on fighting, and to me, the humour is a way of refreshing, recharging our batteries. Just as the ‘good people’ posts on Wednesdays serve to remind us that there ARE good people in this world.

      • For me, today was not that day. Mind you, I did not know that till I finished your post, and I did not feel recharged. Gail just got a news update, ELEVEN (11) more mass shooting i the States so far this weekend. What the hell is going on?

        • Yes, I read this afternoon that there are AT LEAST 11 more over this holiday weekend. The time has come to call a halt to all gun sales, but it won’t happen. Meanwhile, if we cannot recharge a bit, then we cannot be a part of the solution because we’ll be in a mental hospital. So, for me, I have to step back, even if only for an hour or two. Talk to Roger about that … he can tell you.

  6. Another great collection, just been on line paying my water bill so light relief needed. Happy Monday Jill. We are having half term and Jubilee week – now the funny Monday thing is … we lose our spring bank holiday next Monday, which has moved to this Thursday and Friday is our one off Platinum Jubilee bank holiday. Lots of teachers and pupils are a bit grumpy because their half term holiday is this week, thus swallowing both bank holidays so they are getting one day less off instead of one extra! confused… don’t worry….

  7. Jill, love the cat and its kitten in the sink. That is crashing. But, I think the family of sloths, with one on mom’s head is my favorite. Well done. Keith

    • Nothing mellows one quite so much as pictures of cute animals. I think sloths are, overall, the cutest of all critters! I hear they don’t do well in a house full of cats ‘n humans, though. 😉

  9. A great start to Monday thanks, Always leave ’em laughing. The cute animal video was great, and I really wanted to hug the waving bear though he might have been waving my life goodbye. The Bee sign couldn’t be more true, The White Hart has a good salesman but they could soon be the only pub with no beer so no customers.,854 degrees will be a good test for where

    • I’m happy that I could bring you some laughs on this Monday morn! Yeah, the waving bear was cute … the all were! I think I could be perfectly happy living in a world with mostly animals and maybe just a few … very few, like less than 10 … humans. Heh heh … 854° would have melted the planet and everything on it! Perhaps Fox has no editors to catch such faux pas? And no, you ain’t goin’ to that place that neither of us believe exists anyway! Cwtch
