I don’t know how she does it, but our friend TokyoSand over at Political Charge always manages to find the best of the week’s political cartoons. Not a lot to laugh about these days, folks, but the ‘toons are still awesome and depict our lives with few or no words in a way that lengthy essays cannot do. Be sure to follow the link at the end to see the many more ‘toons she has chosen this week. Thank you, TS, for all your hard work!
The same gun debate rages on and on, yet editorial cartoonists find new angles to cover it. I remain, as always, in awe of their talent.

Good selection. But too close to reality.

Yep, always is. Reality is a horror story these days. I saw a tweet by Stephen King, world-reknown writer of horror stories who said even he couldn’t have written this script.

I think a lot of folk are standing there open-mouthed in shock and astonishment at this mindset running free.
It’s been brewing for years, although for a time I believed it would happen along civil / civic/ legal way by using the constitution and states drifting apart.
We’re at that tipping point.

Yes, we are at that tipping point and just about to tip over, I think. So much hatred, rancor and aggression exists in this country today, and couple that with the massive number of guns floating around in the hands of those haters … a recipe for disaster.

What the haters in their arrogance do not realise is that those they despise are starting to ‘tool’ up.
As you say recipe for disaster.

The cartoonists have knocked it out of the park these last few weeks. Unfortunately, they keep getting plenty of easy pitches.

Yes, unfortunately they have SOOOOOO much material to work with that I doubt they get much sleep these days.
