Jolly Funday Monday!

Good Monday morning once again!  Why does it always seem that Monday comes ‘round faster than, say Friday?  At any rate, I hope you all had a good weekend with a bit of fun included along the way.  We mostly stayed in this weekend … the girls went out shopping for some baby things for our friend Maha who is due to deliver a baby girl next month, but I stayed home where the air is a little more breathable.  Joyful first said she wasn’t cooking this morning due to the heat, but then when I smelled food and meandered into the kitchen, she told me to “GET OUT!” … so I’m not sure what’s on the table this morning, but let’s go see, shall we?

Today is PIZZA DAY!!!  There’s even a bacon pizza for our bacon lovers!

Gwammie’s Favourite has pineapple!!!

Now that you’ve all got a snack and a cuppa, let’s start the morning out with a few cute animal pictures!

I found lots o’ funny ‘toons today!  I hope they make you all laugh!

We found some fun facts while wandering around over at Phil’s Phun today …

And lastly, what would Jolly Monday be without some cute critters frolicking around, eh?

We hope you enjoyed the pizza and a few chuckles to start your week off right!  And we hope you have a wonderful … okay, at least a decent week ahead.  Remember to share your smiles … they’re one of those things that you can never have too many of!  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!

    • Oh Larry!!! You don’t know what you’re missing!!! I used to think that pepperoni was the perfect topping, but then … be still my heart … I tasted a pizza with pineapple and my life would never be the same! 🤣

Glad you enjoyed the toons and the pizza! I thought the same about the cat … if that were one of my cats, the chicks would have been naught but a pile of feathers!

  1. Monday mornings seem to pop up ever so quickly these days!

I’m glad I found another person who likes pineapples on their pizza. One of the best ingredients!

The online reservation cartoon is pretty funny. A few people definitely come to mind.

    • Indeed they do! And weekends just seem to fly by, don’t they?

I LOVE pineapple on pizza and have a good laugh over the fact that it is the subject of much discussion these days! I think some friendships have even been ended over the topic!

Glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday … I always hope that if we can start the week with a smile, the rest of it can’t be too bad. 😊 Yeah, I know … a cockeyed optimist!

  2. The German deposit on plastic bottles wasn’t funny but it’s totally common practice in most European countries. We have deposit on glass and plastic bottles since like forever. Only the modern machines were a recent addition, like 30 years ago or so. Coz most of us like to live in a save, clean and healthy environment.

    • No, it wasn’t funny, but I wanted to use it anyway, because in this country too many people scoff at recycling … and I would love to see a system like Germany … and yours! Yes, most of us … sigh … but then there are the 65% or so who care more for their convenience of today than their children’s future of tomorrow.

      • “Germany … and yours!”
Wotyou meen by dat? Germany’s system is/was my system. Here in SA they could never ever implement a system like that coz most of the ppl here are nothing but wilful little kidz in adult bodies.
I’m not claiming to be a real adult but at least I try to live like a responsible grown up person. And indeed lately we see many small private companies popping up who collect mostly PET bottles and paper for recycling. In our complex every household participates and fill at least 1 big plastic bag with plastic and paper garbage. We take them out together with our wheelie bins and the municipality or private enterprise collects them. Works great.

        • Well, by your comment I assumed your country was similar in its efforts to combat plastic pollution. The U.S. is far behind most countries — people here seem to think that the problems of plastic pollution, climate change, and more will simply disappear if they ignore them long enough. Sigh.
