And Once Again … It’s … Jolly Monday!!!

Good Monday morning, my friends!  I bet you guys just can’t wait to dive into another week at the salt mines … or wherever you work!  My poor daughter is the head of her department at work and 7 of her staff have called off this weekend – all tested positive for Covid!  I told her I’d fire every one of them, for no doubt they’ve been going around without masks, not taking any precautions.  She said it’s probably a good thing I’m no longer a manager … she’s probably right, for the older I get, the less tolerance I have for stupidity.  But anyway, since it’s Monday, let’s start the week with something to make us smile, or maybe even chuckle, shall we?  Let’s start by checking out what Joyful has been up to in the kitchen … something sure smells good!

I was playin’ around, twyin’ to make da food look cute!

Jolly says he’s still working on the ‘toons, so let’s start with a few sunny fighns … I mean, funny signs!

Okay … I think I’m weady now!  I gots so many toons I gots to save some for next week!

Joyful came across some cute/funny animal memes recently …

I just had to share this one meme with you guys …

And last, but never least, it’s time for a cute critter video!

We really hope you’ve found a few smiles here, and that you’ll share them with others as you go through the week and see people without one!  Keep safe and have a great week, friends!  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!

  1. Some people are so talented with food decorations. I get into too much of a hurry and frustrated to do the detail stuff. Plus we have an issue with baked goods, they don’t survive long enough after coming out of the oven to decorate, we both love them warm and fresh. Back when I used to bake a lot, I had to do double batches because we would eat almost all the ones taken out of the oven while we were cooking the next ones. Grand post Jill. Hugs

    • Heck, I couldn’t do anything like that either! I don’t have the steadiness of hand, nor the patience! We are the same here … chocolate chip cookies barely make it to the cooling rack before they are attacked! 😉 Glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday and I hope you have a great week ahead! Hugs

  3. Sounds like your daughters week is not off to a jolly start! I hope that she herself did not catch it and that she’s able to be productive despite the staffing shortage. Hope your week is less disruptive.

  4. Firing staff for getting covid is well over the top! Masks and vaccinations reduce the likelihood of the virus being passed on. It doesn’t prevent it being passed on.

    • Sigh. I know, Barry … I was mostly blowing off steam. But in truth, her staff did stop wearing masks (except at work, where it is required, since it is a medical facility), as has most everybody in this country. She’s in for a rough week, having to do the work of at least 8 people, and she already works 12+ hours a day! People in this country flout the precautions, they take pride in being too stubborn to get vaccinated and wear a mask. In my book, they deserve what they get, but then they make life harder for the few of us who are cautious. Sigh.

  6. Look on the bright side (aka ‘You’re reaching there fellah’)- At least your daughter’s staff admit the existence of Covid, so might not be MAGA-ites.😔>
Send her my best wishes…been there.🌸💮🌹🌻🌼🌷

    • Thanks, Michael! I would bet money that they gave up their mask-wearing months ago, for almost nobody is wearing them anymore, and I believe they were even arguing against the company mask policy. Yes, anything is possible, but I think that taking precautions, especially if you work in the healthcare industry as these people do, is an obligation, not a choice. Sigh. xx
