          • I personally don’t like saskatoons much, but Gail eats them by the bucket. They look very much like blueberries, yet bog cranberries are often substituted for blueberries in baked good and jams. Cranberries neither look nor taste like blueberries, yet no one complains. That I do not understand. Raspberries are good!

            • Raspberries, strawberries and blackberries are my favourite, with blueberries coming in close. I like cranberries in cranberry-orange bread, but that’s about the extent of it.

  1. The ‘That’s Amore’ piece reminds me of a chant that used to be sung by Fulham football fans, about one of their own team, a guy by the name of Bobby Zamora who wasn’t renowned for his goal scoring prowess. It went:

“When you sit in row Z,
And the ball hits your head,
    That’s Zamora.”

Remember we call it Zed here, not Zee 🤣

  2. Jill, too funny. Many favorites in this lot. I did like the optical illusion one with the woman hugging the man. And, “con artist” is a great punch line. Thanks for the chuckle. Keith

    • I’m glad you found some chuckles here to start off your week, Keith! I enjoy doing Jolly Monday posts … they make me smile, whereas most of my writing makes me scowl ‘n growl! Have a great week ahead!

            • We did dat, Uncle Woger, an’ she came right up outta da wabbit hole! Thanks … next time we’ll know what to do! Ooohhh … yeah … it wouldn’t be nice to jus’ take pieces of da spidey’s web, would it? We’ll ask next time!

Thanks, Roger, for helping the kids figure out the best way to pull me outta da wabbit … I mean, out of the rabbit hole! They did pretty good with Jolly Monday on their own, though, didn’t they? I’m proud of them!
