Good Saturday morning, dear friends! Well … well, well, well. It’s been a rough week … a sad week for people on all sides of the big pond. I was planning to skip Saturday Surprise this week and write about … well, never mind. But I thought … maybe we all need to just take a deep breath, find a reason to smile, and zone out for a wee bit. And so … I went in search of some cute, smile-inducing pictures of furry babes. I bet you can’t get through this entire post without smiling at least a little bit.
I hope you have a wonderful, restive & peaceful …
All too cute! I think my favourites would be #1 which I presume by the kittens’ colouring might be Mum, Dad, and their offspring, and #4 as it reminds me of the cat we had when I was a kid, Who often snuggled up the our next door neighbour’s elderly dog, but terrorised every other dog in the neighbourhood.

I’m so glad you enjoyed them! I do think that was a family … only one of the kids looks like dad, and the rest look like mum. I especially love the ones with animals of two different species snuggling … we humans could learn from them! I hope the animals brought a smile or two to your face, my friend!

I definitely smiled more than once. Have a great weekend, Jill.

That’s awesome! Knowing that makes ME smile, too! You have a great weekend as well, Carla … or what’s left of it!

Oh dear sweet lovely animals…they are so much better than humanity..I love them all!

I fully agree, Mary! And notice that there are several snuggling with critters from a different species than their own. Humans cannot even seem to tolerate their own species unless they look, think and act exactly as they themselves do.

May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
Brightened by a song
in your heart,
And warmed by the smiles
of people you love.

Thanks, Dutch … I’m glad they brightened your day! Yes, I always think the same when I post pictures of animals, two or three species living together in peace, snuggling together, sharing their food & shelter … why can’t humans be more like them? Thanks for the Irish Saying … as it happens, my day was brightened by this comment from you!

Adorable photos! I particularly like the one about Fat Fred who I assume is a cat?

Jill, great pics. Too many good ones from which to choose, but I will pick one. “Moo! Aah. Sometimes a girl just needs some flowers.” Keith

Awwww … I’m glad you enjoyed them! I think my favourite was the matching cow ‘n kitten which I wanted to caption “my brother from another mother”, but decided not to do captions.

One of my favourite bedtime stories to read with my T was Lulu is a Rhinocerous. And in it, I learned that rhinos often had a symbiotic relationship with a bird friend. So it’s adorable to see a photo in your post of a real rhino and a bird!

Who knew???? That’s cool … I had no idea that rhinos and birds bonded! Wouldn’t it be great if people were as non-judgmental as animals? Have a great weekend, my friend!

They’re called tick birds (or oxpeckers) and eat the ticks that may find themselves on the rhino’s hides. So they both benefit from this relationship.

Tick birds … I had not heard of them! Yes, it’s a win-win! All species should interconnect in such ways! Well, I’m not suggesting that we actually eat the fleas off our dogs, but … you know 😊

I’m glad you liked them! When you say ‘most’ of them, I’m assuming that you have no desire to cuddle the cow in the field of flowers? 🐄

Pet the calf maybe but the cow has to fend for herself! I can think of a few other things to do with the cow but I’ll just keep them to myself. Sure would love some meatloaf right now!!!

🤣🤣 Just so happens I have one slice of meatloaf leftover from a couple of nights ago … I’ll mail it to you!
