Well, folks … it’s that day again. Yep, you know what day I mean …
Oh yeah, and it’s also Monday, so Happy Hallowe’en Monday! I said to nobody in particular a few days ago, “We don’t really need witches, goblins, ghosts and ghouls this Hallowe’en … we have Republicans!” Yeah, I know … no politics allowed on Jolly Monday posts … sometimes I just can’t help myself.
Anyway, Joyful has some special Hallowe’en treats for us today, and then we’ll see what Jolly has dug up to start this week out with a smile, a chuckle, or perhaps even a laugh!
It may be Hallowe’en, which is the bigger holiday, but it is also National Knock-Knock Joke Day, and since I love knock-knock jokes, I thought I’d start out with just a few.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Luke.
Luke who?
Luke through the peephole and find out.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Honeydew.
Honeydew who?
Honeydew you wanna dance?
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Elly.
Elly who?
Elly-mentary, my dear Watson!
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Cash.
Cash who?
No thanks, I’ll have some peanuts.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Spell.
Spell who?
Okay, fine. W-H-O.
Okay … enough of that! Let’s move on to a few animal memes …
Jolly spent most of yesterday digging for funny cartoons for you guys …
And Joyful and Jolly worked together on collecting some funny memes …
Well, that brings us up to the pièce de résistance, the cute animal video!
Time sure does fly on Monday mornings, doesn’t it? We’ve really enjoyed having you visit and hope that you’re leaving with a smile both on your face and in your heart. These are tough times, and it helps if we can find things to smile about, so please be sure to share the smiles with others this week. Keep safe and have a happy week! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!
Thanks for the chuckles! I always wanted to go to Gilligan’s Island and stay there. Be like Pluto. I especially like that.

Me too!!! I used to wonder why they were in such a hurry to return to “civilization”! I loved that Pluto one, too! Glad you found some chuckles here, my friend!

(PS: I confess 😌 to mischief…. I just entered ’31st October’ in Wiki and saw what turned up…Interesting though ……now Martin Luther on the 31st October….).

Ahhhhhh … and here I thought you just tapped into the memory banks in your head! You just knew I’d have to go find out what the heck Martin Luther did on 10/31/1517, didn’t you? He started, not a revolution, but a reformation! Perhaps people need to be reminded of those basic premises these days.

Yep! I left off Martin Luther just for you Jill 😉
Interesting fact: He actually fell in love with a nun and smuggled her and eleven sisters out of their convent in herring barrels. He married her, one Katharina von Bora,

Wow … I cannot help but feeling sorry for her! But then … the role of women in all nations, all walks of life, was different then than it is today. Though … we may be turning a corner … a 180° corner … back to those times. Thanks for yet another lesson in history that I was completely unaware of!

There are those of small character and narrow insecure views who would wish for that.
Not true men by any means.

You mean something like….
‘Is that 1/8th inch less than yesterday???😨….Itcan’t be true!…OMG!!…OMG!! 😩😱😩’

Just as a woman steps on the scale and hopes to have lost a half-pound, a man pulls out his tape measure in hopes that he gained a half-inch. Both are likely to be disappointed, though the odds of success for the woman are slightly higher! 🤣 And the man who worries about it, obviously sees his manhood as being attached solely to that one body part, whereas in truth, manhood is much more than that.

Leaving aside the several UK bawdy responses to the ‘Size Matters’ whimperers…….🤭.
The measure of a true men is in his ability to show Compassion, Respect and Tolerance… Yes he has the unalienable right to grumble and blame whatever device he is using on a task….However once that is done, he gets on with the task and treats the partner in toil with respect and dignity.
Anything else is for weaklings and inadequates.

Exactly … and you, Roger, are one of the best ‘true men’! I’ve long said that men who cannot be seen without a gun in their pocket or boot, seem to need the gun to be ‘real men’. Unfortunately, too man in this country put far too much importance on brute physical strength and the size of their pidyn.

I am sure there are a few women who would discuss the matter with them.

Thanks, dear Emily. I did get a special treat when my friend/neighbor, Maha, brought her 2-month-old daughter Naya for a short visit! She has the most beautiful smile … it lifted my heart from the dark place it had been, if only briefly.
