Mine is a socio-political blog, more political than socio, and it is 90%+ a dark place filled with tales of corruption, violence, and the angst that exists ‘round the globe. But every now and then my mind acts as a lawman, saying, “Step back, hands over your head, step back slowly ma’am, away from the rabbit hole …” And when that happens, I go visit Sally and Debby over at Smorgasbord where I am sure to restore my balance and sense of humour. Their “Laughter is the Best Medicine” post today brought a chuckle from somewhere deep within me and I think it will do the same for you! Thank you, Sally & Debby! You’re lifesavers!

  1. Great share Jill! The Turkey & Wine reminds of a MAD magazine take on Robinson Crusoe who goes to the ship wreck to get wood to build his hut, and finds a barrel of rum…’To fortify myself in my task I took a cup of rum’….a little later that changes to ‘I rum a cup of took’ and so on…..
