  1. I’ve really been out of touch lately. Laptop was down for several weeks and it’s difficult to do much on the Kindle. Laptop restored tonight and I’m trying to figure out what to do first. Naturally, I thought of you. I think I’m glad i missed this though. Bad enough seeing it tonight. Not sure what in the world to even say here, WHAT AN IDIOT! seems lame, but that’s all I can think right now. Big sigh! No news at all for so long and now catching up!

    • Hey Angie!!! I was thinking about you the other night and said to myself that I must write to you and see how you’re doing, but you know what they say about the “best laid plans of mice and men …” Glad to know you’re alright, and I’m especially glad you’ve got your laptop back!!! I would go nuts without mine!

      No, the news hasn’t been all that good of late, however the midterms worked out better than expected, and Warnock won the Georgia run-off on Tuesday, so score one for sanity. Love ‘n hugs, my friend! So good to hear from you!!!

    • That’s the scary part … that there is a fairly large contingent — not a majority, but far too many — who applaud this kind of hate speech! Our education system is really in decline, it seems. Sigh.

        • Yep, I have long said that in the U.S., populism and the cult of Trump were pushback against electing a Black president, not once but TWICE! Racism is alive and well in the U.S. On a more global scale, populism and the movement that brought about Brexit, Trump, LePen, and others, begins with Arab Spring and the crisis of immigration. But here, yeah, it was very much about Obama.

            • The Arab Spring had global repercussions. And, that tracks back to the effects of climate change. There is a thread that far too many don’t see or prefer to ignore, but as has been the case throughout history, one thing leads to another that leads to another. No movement stands alone … they all have roots somewhere. And we can go from food/water crises in the Middle East to an increase in racism in the U.S. … there is a connection, but how many understand it or even care?

  4. It should be no surprise that America is now, has been, and always will be a racist nation. Trump has merely given them license to come out in to the open where they have evoked both repugnance and celebration. As you see, they are being interviewed on TV by similar thinking worms like Tucker Carlson, making speeches to large crowds, and encouraging others to come out in to the light.

    • Yes, it has always been, to a greater or lesser extent. However, I did think we were making progress in the 1960s and thereafter … for a while. But, it seems that the election of a Black president, not once but twice, created a pushback that has gone far beyond what I could ever have imagined. And churches are encouraging bigotry in all its forms: racism, anti-Semitism, misogyny, Islamophobia, and more. The question becomes … why? Is it really written in the stars that we will “ALWAYS” be a racist nation? If so … why? What fatal flaw in the human psyche makes us this way, and why only some, not all of us?

  7. EGADS!!! Trump as president for life? Even the mere THOUGHT of such a disaster makes me want to barf!! As old as I am, I think I would HAVE to engender enough energy to move to (preferably) Australia.

    • use a VPN, the free version works just fine, the paid version just gives you more countries, vpn tricks the server into thinking you are in whatever country you choose, and masks your IP address so you cant be hacked or traced, and its legal, a VPN will allow you to watch any video from anywhere on the planet, its because of VPN use that we get raw footage out of china and other countries with locked down internet etc.

    • Yes … and it gets ever worse. Now Trump says we should set aside the Constitution and just install him as president since “everybody” knows he actually won in 2020. And Fuentes says Hitler was actually a good guy, but the media demonized him. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH! 😱

  12. Jill, I have seen this footage before. It is embarrassingly sad that people actually believe what these two are saying. One is parroting the other, but it is hard to decipher which. Either way, in our country, they have a right to peddle and parrot hateful opinions, just as I have a right to call them out for words that have little truth behind them and are designed to influence a gullible audience. Someone should whisper in Carlson’s ear that Alex Jones declared bankruptcy today for peddling conspiracy comments that caused emotional damage to people whose loved ones were killed. And, while they are at it, they should tell Carlson his own Fox News’ bosses threw him under the bus in a court trial saying Carlson is not part of our news team, so his opinions should not be confused with actual news. Keith

    • It is indeed sad (and maddening) that anybody thinks the way these ‘people’ do. After that, Fuentes said Hitler was a good guy and that the press demonized him, and Trump posted that we need to get rid of the Constitution. And what worries/frightens me the most is that these people, including Tucker, Fuentes, and Trump, all have a following — people who think they are great, who agree with their views on Jews, Blacks, the 2020 election, democracy and more. I think that given the side of themselves we have seen in the past week, it is more clear than ever that NONE of them should ever be given the opportunity to serve in a public office. Alex Jones may yet get his comeuppance, and I hope the same happens to Trump. Surely he isn’t going to slither out of all the investigations and lawsuits against him this time. As for Carlson … he may yet bring about the downfall of Fox and the Murdoch ’empire’ if he goes too far against the wrong people as Alex Jones did. But the fact remains that there is a portion, not a tiny portion either, of the American public who buy into what these ‘men’ say. That is scary, disgusting, and mindboggling.
