Good Monday morning, dear friends! Looks like it’s gonna be another weird weather week for us here in the U.S. with more heavy snow forecast in the west and more severe storms here on the eastern half of the nation. yippee. Since Easter is next Sunday, I think Joyful has cooked up some Easter delicacies for your snacking pleasure this morning! So, grab a snack and let’s find some fun stuff to bring us a smile in spite of the weather!

And let’s finish with a cute animal video. This one is at the same time heartbreaking and heartwarming to watch as a human saves a dog who had been in a bit of a scuffle with a porcupine and come out on the losing end. Found in pain the dog is rescued and ultimately finds his forever home!

Buddy is from my home town, Winnipeg. Poor Buddy. I hope he never chased another porcupine. Where I was living in New Brunswick, the landowner had a dog that came home at least once a week with a faceful of quills. He never learned.

I’ve got a feeling that Buddy learned his lesson about the porcupines, but then maybe not … maybe he was like your former landlord’s dog! We had one like that once … he’d chase anything that moved, but he never encountered a porcupine.

Lucky him. There are a lot of porcupines around Winnipeg, at least when I was growing up. Maybe there aren’t so many now. Human encroachment makes everything else go away, or die,

Heh heh … I hear you! That’s what I thought when I retired in 2008, but frankly I work just as hard now, maybe harder in some ways, as I did back then! I just don’t get paid for it now! 🤣

Heh heh … yeah, except that after a lifetime career as a bean counter (accountant), I am finally working hard doing the things that I think are of value, the things I’ve long wanted to do, like writing. So, it’s all good! Sleep is overrated anyway!
