♫ Somewhere ♫

Somewhere
Barbra Streisand

Someday
Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere

There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere

There’s a time for us
Someday there’ll be a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn
Time to care

Someday
Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find there’s a way of forgiving
Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere

There’s a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and we’re half way there
Hold my hand and I’ll take you there
Somehow
Someday
Somewhere

  1. Barbara Streisand is someone I also need to do a deep dive with.

I downloaded Celine Dion’s greatest hits this week. So I’ll get to Barbara one day soon!

  2. Something is off here, Jill. This song is from West Side Story, and is attributed to Leonard Bernstein (music) and Stephen Sondheim (lyrice). Who is Richard Mullins?.
I distinctly remember this song being done by a male baritone in the 60s, but a half-hour dive into YouTube was unproductive. Does anyone else remember such a ecording?
Streisand has a powerful voice, and sings this well, but it does not satisfy my memory. I thought it might be PJ Proby, but all I could find were live performances, and they sucked.
Still, a good choice. Thank you.

  3. Her voice will always be one of the greatest. I remember when I saw her playing in Yentl and singing “Papa can you hear me”. A few years later, I sang it too, and Memories… She has been one of my biggest inspirations.
