Jolly ‘N Joyful Monday With Pizza!

Good Monday morn, dear friends, and welcome to Château Jolly ‘n Joyful!  How was your weekend … do anything fun?  Me?  Nope, haven’t been out of the house except to retrieve a parcel of printer ink from the front stoop yesterday afternoon.  But that’s okay … I did some reading, some kipping, some laundry, some more kipping and overall had a quiet weekend.  Jolly and Joyful made an executive decision to make today Pizza Day, so let’s head over to the buffet table and see what a selection of pizzas they have for us, then we’ll go in search of some grins, smiles, chuckles and laughs to start the week off on the right foot!

There’s even a bacon pizza for you bacon-lovers!!!

We thought we’d start with some funny animal memes …

And some puns from our friend Punny Phil, as he calls himself …

An’ now we gots lots ‘n lots of great ‘toons for you!!!

And now for a cute/funny animal video that is sure to bring a chuckle …

Well, friends, we’ve really enjoyed our time with you and we’re sorry to see you go, but we’ll see you again soon!  I love that you’re all leaving with smiles on your faces — smiles that I hope you’ll share this week!  Keep safe and have a great week!  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!

  1. Happy Monday, Jill! Don’t count on me this day, because here we have temperatures under 10 degrees (C) again. ;-( I want to have summer. Instantely, as soon as possible. To get the right tanning, and time to use my RayBan glasses. Lol Best wishes, Michael

    • It’s cold and rainy here too, Michael, but it’s what’s inside that counts, right? (I know, easy for me to say, since tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm here). I’ll try to send you some summer if we get some this week, okay? I know you’re eager to get that tan and use your fancy sunglasses! xx

  2. Thank you for sharing, brightened up the day !!.. have a wonderful Monday and week ahead!.. 🙂

Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
to paint a picture, or write a letter,
bake a cake, or plant a seed.
Ponder the difference between want and need.

Dust if you must, but there is not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb!
Music to hear, and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world’s out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
this day will not come round again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come and it’s not kind.
And when you go, and go you must,
you, yourself, will make more dust!

    • Sometimes I think I’m not in the mood to do a Jolly Monday post, but once I start collecting the ‘toons and other funnies, suddenly my mood lifts and I find myself chuckling! I’m glad you enjoyed the humour and hope you have a great week ahead!

  3. Happy Jolly Monday, Jill. I think we all know at least one giraffe in each of our lives. 😆 The cat face and heart shaped pizzas are cute. Makes food fun for kids!

  4. Great dog video, I’m a sucker for those. It always makes me so glad that Ollie has never chewed up or destroyed anything. 🙂
As for pizza, I allow myself one a week. (My wife doesn’t like pizza) So it is usually a Saturday night, and she has something different to eat that day.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • I’m so glad you enjoyed tie dog video! You’re lucky if Ollie has never chewed or destroyed anything! Even our cats have destroyed a few pieces of furniture!

Your wife … doesn’t like … pizza??? I never knew anyone who didn’t like pizza! Now, the big question is … {drumroll} … do you like pineapple on pizza?

      • I have eaten pineapple on pizza, but it is not my first choice. I generally buy a tomato and mozarella pizza base, then add more toppings and cook it myself in the oven. My toppings are usually black olives, small piquante peppers, mushrooms, and asparagus. The pizza is my one vegetarian meal each week. My wife is the only person I have met who won’t eat pizza. She says it is ‘Boring. Just bread with stuff on it’. 🙂

        • The delightful thing about pizza is there’s something for everyone! My choice is typically pepperoni with onions, mushrooms, and black olives, but I do love the pineapple with Canadian bacon, too! Just as long as there are NO ANCHOVIES! Cannot stand those stinky things! Boring? Ah well, to each his/her own, yes?

  6. Iknow well enough the humongous spider problem. On Saturday night I went into the kitchen and found a granddaddy of all tarantulas crouching in the middle of the floor saying ‘go on, i dare you’. So naturally I shouted mny brother and gave him a large jar and a piece of card. He dared for me and placeedd it outside with tyhe admonmition that it wouldn’y be welcomed back.I got off my stool and made supper.

    • Oh my!!! ‘Twas a good thing Mike was there! I’m proud of you both for returning the poor spider to his natural habitat … some people would have squished him and tossed him in the rubbish bin.
