Good Monday morning, dear friends! Did you have a wonderful weekend and now I bet you can hardly wait to get back to work, back to the weekly routine! Our weekend was quieter than usual, for daughter Chris was in Tennessee at a band competition. Her band took 3rd place overall, and the drum corps, of which she is part, won 1st place, so she was pretty chuffed! Goose and I, as usual, had a quieter-than-usual weekend, for Chris is the noisy one of our bunch! Goose and I sometimes forget to even speak to each other for hours on end! I did manage to watch Judgement at Nuremberg — all 3 hours and 10 minutes in one sitting and didn’t fall asleep a single time! I’ve had that on my TBW list for years and finally can cross it off. Well worth watching, if you haven’t seen it, and I thought both Spencer Tracy and Burt Lancaster were brilliant!
Well, since it seems that warm weather is going to stick around for a while, Joyful thought it would be nice if we had a picnic today, so she has prepared some fine picnic-type foods for your snacking pleasure! So … grab a snack and let’s go see what fun stuff we have to start this week off, shall we?
Let’s get started with a few animal memes, ‘k?
And next up … a few phunny puns!
Yes, yes … of course it’s time for da ‘toons now!!!
Jolly has been collecting some fun facts over at Phil’s Phun for several weeks now and we keep forgetting to share them with you, so here are just a few …
And at long last, the moment you’ve all been waiting for … the cute/funny critter video! I fell in love with this dog at first sight … and the dude ain’t half bad looking, either 😉
Well, my friends, we’re sad to see our time together come to an end, but there’s always next Monday! We hope you’ve enjoyed your visit and found something to help you start the week with a smile or a chuckle. And don’t forget to share those smiles … sometimes that’s all it takes to brighten someone’s day. Keep safe and have a wonderful week ahead. Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!
These were hilarious Jill. And I did see Judgment at Nuremberg a few times. 🙂 ❤

I’m so glad you found some humour here! Always best to start the week out with a few chuckles, for it’s almost certain that by the end of the week those chuckles will have turned to growls. Did you like the movie? I thought it was some terrific acting! ❤

And Yay for crossing something off your TBW list! One movie at a time. LOL!
Hugs, my friend! Wishing you a Happy Week! ❤

Glad you made it while there was still some food left! Sorry no bacon this week, though. Yep, her band has had a lot of turnover, but they’re still doing well. One movie/book at a time … the only way I can do it!
Hugs to you, Sweet Carolyn, and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead also! ❤

Thanks for the laughs (and really bad puns) this morning. As Ab noted, it’s a holiday up here so the grumps are waiting for tomorrow – this will carry me through!

Heh heh … always my pleasure, dear friend! I hope you enjoyed your holiday … maybe you should come back and read those “really bad puns” again this morning before heading out to work, so you don’t start your work week with the grumps! Have a good week, Emily.

The Brodie the dog video is just perfect! I am no longer strong enough to carry my Ollie everywhere, but I would if I could! Great funnies and puns too.
I saw Judgement At Nuremburg decades ago, and thought it was great.
Best wishes, Pete.

Wishing you a lovely week ahead, Jill. It’s a holiday over here in Canada so we didn’t all get up till around 9 so I don’t feel grumpy as I normally do on Monday morning. 😆

I’m happy for you that you were able to sleep in and happy for your hubby and for T that you’re not your usual grumpy-Monday self! 🤣 We get a holiday next Monday, so my daughter will get to sleep in then! I, on the other hand, get to sleep in every day! Have a great week ahead, my friend!

In all of my 73 years, I have lived in households with a wind assisted solar powered environment-friendly clothes dryer. Although where we currently live, it’s more a case of wind powered, solar assisted, which probably explains why there’s around 300 wind turbines on the skyline 🙂

Heck yes! I had one long, long time ago, and I remember as a child, my mother had one, too! We were ahead of our times! And the clothes always smelled so nice and fresh … a bit stiff sometimes, but fresh-smelling! Windy there, eh?

Where we live, the wind ensures the clothes are never stiff. We don’t have the strongest winds in the country – that’s Wellington’s claim to fame – but our average windspeed is greater.
One observation many new residents from North America and Europe make is the lack of clothes dryers in this country, and genuinely puzzled as Kiwis have high ownership rates for just about every other appliance. But when one considers our location on the globe and realises how exceptionally clean our air is, why use anything else?

The only argument I could make against the wind assisted solar powered environment-friendly clothes dryer comes from a single experience. I had hung the sheets on the line to dry, and it was late afternoon when I brought them in and put them on the bed without paying much attention, for I was also cooking supper, etc. Sometime in the night, I awoke to terrible pain … a few wasps had gotten under the sheet and began building a nest, and they were stinging the heck out of us!!! But, lesson learned, and I paid more attention in the future! I’d opt for the wind-powered dryer any day, if I had that option!
