Good Monday morn, dear friends! I hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend to just hang out with people you love and put your cares aside for a couple of days. But now it’s Monday again, time to put our noses back to that proverbial grindstone. But first … let’s indulge in some smiles, chuckles, and maybe even some laughs, shall we? Joyful tells me she decided it was time for a pizza day, so let’s go see what she has in store for us, then onto the fun!
Let’s start with some animal memes …
And just a few puns from over at Phil’s Phun …
And on to the ‘toons!!!
And last, but never least, Jolly found us a cute, fun animal video to make us chuckle!
Well, my friends, it’s that time once again … our time seems so short, but we’ve really enjoyed spending a little bit of it with you this Monday morning. We hope you have a wonderful week ahead and that you’ll share those beautiful smiles you’re wearing with others who may not have one of their own! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!!!

You should be here! Daughter Chris returned tonight from a band trip to Chicago and brought with her two HUGE boxes of pizza … enough to feed an army!

Always wonderful reading these and laughing! Great job again. Happy Tuesday to you! 🙂 I have seen the one about the serial killer before, but it always makes me laugh! Poor guy!

I have a special request for Joyful next Pizza Moday, please. A bacon pizza topped with dill pickle coins. Absolutely delicious! Actually, the kind of meat goesn’t matter. Gies goid with pepperoni or sausauge to. But don’t mix with pineapples. Ever!

Duly noted and passed on to Joyful! Personally, I’d rather have pineapple than dill pickle coins, but to each his own … we aim to please!

Don’t knock it till you try it. I just tried it, without anyone’s suggestion, and I loved it. So did Gail, but she thought my coins were too thick, so next time they will be thin coins. Not all my food ideas work out, I’ve had some total disasters. But dill pickles on pizza — I wasted 73 years of my life!

I won’t … but since I don’t care for dill pickles, it’s kind of a foregone conclusion I wouldn’t like them on pizza, either, but you never know. Tell us about some of your total disasters! I’m curious!

Worst ever? Making an omelette using lemon yogurt instead of milk. I figured it’s dairy, what the hell! Maybe a different flavour might have worked, but all we had was lemon at the time. Gail wouldn’t eat it. I finished everything I cooked, which is one of my rules — I make it, I eat it. It wasn’t easy.

🤢 I’m with Gail … no way I could have even taken a bite of that!

Thanks, Emily! I’m glad you enjoyed it … sorry there wasn’t much bacon, just a little on a couple of the pizzas. Have a good week, my friend!

Jill, a great assortment! Do chiropractors get back pay? Big smile. I also like the minister noticing Carol is back for yet another wedding. Maybe he could ask “are you sure?” after each I do. Keith

I’m really glad to know you found a big smile here! Yes, the minister noticing Carole … made me wonder just how many times she’s been at that altar! Have a happy week ahead, my friend!

Another stellar collection Jill.
I am trying to decide between ‘You here again Carole?’ and The Duck Hunters as my favourite.

Duck hunters by far. I used to have a Far Side t-shirt with a deer handing out rifles or guns to all the forest aninals. I wore it till the picture was too faded to see anymore.

I loved Far Side, and miss it terribly. I think I had 5 t-shirts with Far Side cartoons on them, but that was my favourite!

It was a kind of one-ff wasn’t it, and Larson retired at the top of his game. Some go on too long and get mediocre or a bit weirdly removed from the original script.

Given the name of my present blog, Ideas From Ouside the Boxes, Larson can be a guest blogger anytime he likes. I didn’t get all of his jokes, but man, he made me laugh — and think!

I didn’t realize the Far Side was gone! Like you, I didn’t always understand it, but when I did it was fun.

Far Side, Bloom County, and Calvin and Hobbes all stopped about the same time, all were at the heignt of their popularity. To the best of my knowledge, none of them ever re-surfaced.

Calvin & Hobbes too??? NO … Say it ain’t so! I loved Calvin & Hobbes! Ah well, at least I have a collection of Calvin & Hobbes books! Maybe I’ll get one out, dust it off, and have some chuckles this evening!

Post some of the good ones if you can. I miss Hobbes as much as I miss The Far Side, and Opus from Bloom County.

Thanks, Roger!!! Hope you had a slice of pizza, too! Yeah, those two stuck in my mind as well. Some weeks they just fall into my lap!

Pizza day is either Thursday or Friday. Being British and of ‘that’ generation we naturally limit ourselves to one a week (cut down the middle)

Oh my!!! I never realized there were such stringent rules about pizza day!!! I’ll let Joyful know!

We are British of the Old School🤭🤭, (it took my family fifteen years to get me eating them) you guys carry on with your own pizza ways😀🍕🍕🍕🍕
