Time was when I would have to go in search of enough political cartoons I felt were worthy for my weekly ‘toon post, but these days they just drop into my lap! The cartoonists never sleep, it seems, and I know from following Clay Jones’ blog that he rarely does sleep … he’s always under one deadline or another, yet he never seems to run out of material! Anyway, sit back and enjoy the latest, the ‘best of the best’, the ‘cream of the crop’!

They say it all. The greatest generation one being my favourite. Cartoonists should use that theme more often. And next time someone cries antics as an insult. Yell back ‘so were the guys at Malmedy!

Yes, the ‘greatest generation’ one really hit home … I’m still stuck back in that era when fascism was bad! Good comeback, though I doubt 90% of them would have a clue what the Malmedy massacre even was.

All great tonight. I especially loved the old enough one. And the Better Call Saul still has me in stitches.
So, how are you, my friend? I’ve been trying to find a subject to write about that doesn’t involve headlines by not reading the news, but it still makes its way through. I used to be able to find good news but lately there doesn’t seem to be much of that around. I guess only bad things sell now. I wonder what would happen if the world decided to boycott the news until the headlines stopped making heroes of the bad guys and focused on the good things people are doing without waiting for a headline to make them look better. i’m really bummed out lately, wondering if the really important things will ever make a difference now. People who feed the hungry, those who help the ones who have nothing without first telling the world about it. There are some who don’t look for headlines. I know some of them. Too bad the world will never know because these people try to hide their identity. I respect that.

Really good stuff, jilldennison! Cartoonists have a way of expressing what many are already thinking in pictures. I love these! Thank you!

Thanks, RaPaR!!! Yes, the political cartoonists can say as much with few or no words as an OpEd writer can say in a thousand words! And they help us see the humour in certain situations, as well. If only I had a degree of artistic talent, but the best I can draw is a cracked egg! Glad you enjoyed the ‘toons!!!

Ha! Some great ones, but that “Better Call Saul” cartoon is a gem and the Pat Robertson reaching heaven was a killer. Thanks for lifting the spirits of this coffee loaded weary soul. Hugs ‘n cheers
