Another weekend gone by the wayside, another Monday to start the week … ho ho ho. Well, at least you’re here to visit with us and we will try to provide some smiles, chuckles and laughs to get your week off to a fun start! Today, Jolly begged to be allowed to help Joyful in the kitchen … well, some of you may remember the two times Jolly tried cooking before and the fact that he damn near burned the house down, so he’s not allowed to even go in the kitchen, let alone touch the stove! But Joyful came up with a solution … surely he couldn’t make any disasters if we just made sandwiches … right? Well, except for nearly chopping off a finger while slicing tomatoes, all went well, so we are offering a salad ‘n sandwich buffet this morning! Grab a snack and let’s find some things to bring us a smile on this Monday morning! Oh … and please save the bacon buttie for David … Jolly made it especially for him!
We found some funny signs in our travels through the blogosphere last week … some leave you scratching your head, wondering what prompted that sign!
We don’t have much this week in the way of puns, cute pics, or animal memes, so let’s just head straight into the cartoons and we’ll give you a few extras this week to make it up to you, okay?
And a few memes that I thought were funny …
And finally, here’s what happens when Momma Bear is tired and takes her cubs to visit a swing set so they can play some of that excess energy off!
Well, my friends, we sure do hate to see you go, but we hope you had fun this morning! Be sure to share those gorgeous smiles with others this week … sometimes a smile is all it takes to brighten someone’s day! Keep safe and have a great week ahead! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!!!

Omg, I was cracking up at these, so many good ones – especially the toilet demo. LOL. And still, I didn’t learn the difference between a bee and a wasp. Lol. ❤

Yay!!! It’s only right that I provide you with a bit of humour, after all that you and Sally provide for me! I learned the difference between a honeybee and a wasp long ago … the hard way. Wasps truly are aggressive and MEAN, and so are yellowjackets, but honeybees and bumblebees are friendly … I’ve even let the bumblebees light on my nose while conversing with them while watering the flowers in the morning! Have a great week, my friend! ❤

Wow! You are a brave soul, lol. And yes, I do know those wasps are mean! 🙂 ❤

Not brave … I just know they won’t hurt me unless they feel threatened. I actually have long, philosophical discussions with the bumblebees some mornings … they’re really great listeners!!! 💖

The bears were certainly cute. But the most telling sign was the one moving the post-apocalyptal fiction to the current affairs section. Priceless.

Yeah, that was among my favourites, too … so very apt for the times we’re living in! I’m glad you liked the bears, too, though … we need to smile sometimes, yes?

Yep. Not sure, but isn’t twin the usual Triplets a bit more rare? In some scenes I almost thought there were four, but I think I was just seeing things.

Okay. Gail saw quads, so I wasn’t seeing things. 2s and 3s are common. 4 a bit less common. But then I found this:

Yep, there were actually five cubs … the 5th wasn’t as easily visible, but it was there.

If Jolly, Joyful and I brought you some comic relief, my friend, then I am glad! And thank you so much for the reblog!!! Greatly appreciated! Now 😊 Cheers ‘n hugs, my friend!

You presented several that gave me laugh out loud guffaws. Yeah, insufficient funds, “Take me to your stove,” the Punny Express, “Never bring a knife to a gun fight”. Great stuff. Hugs ‘n cheers, M

I have the same problem with Ace as Red does with Rover. Your out on a walk and ask an existential question and they deflect with some lovey dovey BS to deflect. You know they know the answer but won’t tell.

Awwww … but Rover’s response melted my heart!

Obsequious little rats! That’s how they get you. People don’t own dogs dogs own people.

The same is true of cats, too! I’ve never thought of it as ‘owning’ them, just that they are our furry family members!

Cats are nefarious! I’m allergic and can’t touch them. My oldest has three, one of which does not show itself in public. But when I go over the little bugger comes and tries to constantly sit in my lap. They know things.

That one sounds just like our Miss Izzy! We have five — all rescue cats — though at one time we had 10. Miss Izzy was found thrown into a trash dumpster as a tiny kitten and has never been right since, spending most of her days under the sofa, coming out only to eat or potty. But, when daughter Chris is home, Izzy goes straight to her lap and begs for pats. Oh yes, they are far smarter than we think they are!

Current events would suggest that we are far dumber than we think we are. 🙂 Dogs are all in but is suspect cats are holding some cards incase we don’t make it.

Thank goodness it’s a short week for me. I have Friday off for a long weekend family Roadtrip. May this week fly by! And yes, wouldn’t it be nice if we tie children to posts outside buildings. 😀😂

Oh, that sounds like great fun!!! I hope you all have a great time!!! Ha ha … some children, yes!

It’s a guy thing. Yes, I fell in love with the bear cubs, and Stella posted another video of them frolicking in a kiddie pool! Check it out: https://birgitdiestarkeblog.com/2023/07/11/ein-dienstagslacheln-a-tuesday-smile-107/

You would have thought Earl would have learnt by now. ‘The Near Future Game Show’ is very astute, my favourite this week has to go to that nightmare punishment inflicted upon Simone 😄(against some pretty tough opposition).
Thanks Jill

Earl may never learn, and lucky for us, for then he wouldn’t be nearly as funny! Oh yeah, the game show one caught my eye, as did the one about the “post-apocalyptical fiction section has been moved to Current Affairs”. So damned apt! Glad you had some fun visiting Jolly Monday today!

As always, you brighten the Monday! Though you used a strange word at the start, it was a bit incomprehensible to me… sa… lad? Sal…ad??

Hey Ben!!! Good to see you … it’s been a while! And I’m really glad we brightened your Monday. Salad? Oh, don’t worry, that’s just what some people eat to convince themselves that it offsets the effects of the chocolate they ate the night before, and that the s-a-l-a-d will burn all those calories and keep them skinny! 😉

You always brighten Monday!
Years ago, I worked with a guy who had a system. Get a Burger King, but feel guilty that it’s not good for you? Get an orange juice with it, and it becomes healthy!

I’m so happy to know that!!!
Hey … I like that guy’s idea!!! I do the same! A bit of milk along with that chocolate turns it into a healthy, yet tasty treat!
