A Chilling Plan In The Works

Presumably, every president in this nation has at some point chafed at certain limitations to his power, constraints on his ability to pursue his agenda, but to date none have gone so far as to dictatorially remove those constraints.  If the people of the United States throw caution to the wind in November 2024 and foolishly elect a former president who attempted to overturn the 2020 election, that could change.  Donald Trump is a ‘man’ without a conscience, a ‘man’ who does not believe in democracy and does not care about the nation – he cares only about his own lust for power, wealth, and adoration.  A story in the New York Times this morning literally chilled my blood.

Remember back in 2019 when, frustrated with the Mueller investigation into the Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia during the 2016 election, Trump said …

“Then, I have an Article II, where I have to the right to do whatever I want as president.”

Obviously, his ignorance knew no boundaries for him to spout such nonsense, but today as he makes his bid to once again be elected, he has a whole team working tirelessly to turn his nonsense into reality, into our worst nightmare.  That team includes the anti-democratic group, The Heritage Foundation, an anti-democratic, ultra-conservative think tank who had outsized influence on Trump during his four years in office.  They are, according to the NYT article, “planning a sweeping expansion of presidential power over the machinery of government if voters return him to the White House in 2025, reshaping the structure of the executive branch to concentrate far greater authority directly in his hands.”  If that doesn’t chill your blood, then I don’t know what will.  Handing nearly unlimited power to a megalomaniac with very little intelligence and a huge ego … what could possibly go wrong?

In the interest of time and space, I won’t copy the entire article here, but here are a few key excerpts …

Mr. Trump and his associates have a broader goal: to alter the balance of power by increasing the president’s authority over every part of the federal government that now operates, by either law or tradition, with any measure of independence from political interference by the White House, according to a review of his campaign policy proposals and interviews with people close to him.

Mr. Trump intends to bring independent agencies — like the Federal Communications Commission, which makes and enforces rules for television and internet companies, and the Federal Trade Commission, which enforces various antitrust and other consumer protection rules against businesses — under direct presidential control.

He wants to revive the practice of “impounding” funds, refusing to spend money Congress has appropriated for programs a president doesn’t like — a tactic that lawmakers banned under President Richard Nixon.

“The president’s plan should be to fundamentally reorient the federal government in a way that hasn’t been done since F.D.R.’s New Deal,” said John McEntee, a former White House personnel chief who began Mr. Trump’s systematic attempt to sweep out officials deemed to be disloyal in 2020 and who is now involved in mapping out the new approach.

“Our current executive branch,” Mr. McEntee added, “was conceived of by liberals for the purpose of promulgating liberal policies. There is no way to make the existing structure function in a conservative manner. It’s not enough to get the personnel right. What’s necessary is a complete system overhaul.”

The agenda being pursued has deep roots in the decades-long effort by conservative legal thinkers to undercut what has become known as the administrative state — agencies that enact regulations aimed at keeping the air and water clean and food, drugs and consumer products safe, but that cut into business profits.

Its legal underpinning is a maximalist version of the so-called unitary executive theory.

The legal theory rejects the idea that the government is composed of three separate branches with overlapping powers to check and balance each other. Instead, the theory’s adherents argue that Article 2 of the Constitution gives the president complete control [emphasis added] of the executive branch, so Congress cannot empower agency heads to make decisions or restrict the president’s ability to fire them.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read the article in its entirety.  While it’s true that there are safeguards in place that should prevent much of what is being plotted, we have to ask just how secure those safeguards are if Trump is elected and immediately slides his own people into positions of power?  What’s at stake?  Well, the planet for one … Trump and The Heritage Foundation are climate change deniers and part of the ‘plan’ is to roll back environmental regulations that cut into the profits of large corporations.  They also plan to roll back regulations that were put in place to protect employees in the workplace.  And more.

There are numerous valid reasons that Donald Trump should never again set foot in the Oval Office, including his theft of classified documents, his role in the January 6th attempted coup, and his multiple attempts to overturn the 2020 election.  But perhaps the biggest reason of all lies in the plans being formed already, 16 months before the election, to literally shred the U.S. Constitution, taking us from a democratic republic to a full-on authoritarian government wholly dependent on the whims of one ‘man’ with no conscience, no integrity or values, and very little intelligence, but an oversized ego.

  1. “Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia ”

I thought this brainfart of nonsensical conspiracy theory was bombed out of the water by now. As if Russia would stoop as low as paying any favours to an American muppet in the first place. :|Can any of you fine people please slowly get it now? The Russians don’t want anything to do with America or her bollockticians!

FUKSAKE!!! You guys declared Russia an enemy, same as the USSR before. You working on destroying Russia, her economy, her leadership and administration. Why would any Russian collude with one of your leaders?

The whole collusion thingie was again what America does best: Auto-excitement over nothing but hot air. Don’t you think that if there indeed was any collusion happening, that Trump could still run for pres again? That he would even be a free man? That not the whole world would know about the affair?

Trump’s campaign collusion is for the Russian govt as important as a pimple on the @$$. Dem or Rep, they all the same unruly children in Moscow’s eyes.

    • How do you say “Yes Daddy” in your native tongue? Papa Putin, Papa Putin stay away from the windows please!
What precipitated this Putin tongue bath? Are the residents of Cape Town blaming the Joe Biden administration for causing the daily blackouts? Russia has plenty of coal reserves, Daddy won’t share?

        • Orca worships Papa Putin, he does no wrong. All the enemies of the state that fall out of windows or off roofs of tall buildings are just clumsy people. They should never have climbed up on those rooftops if they wanted to continue being alive!

          • Say can’t you read or are you mentally challenged? How often must I state here that I don’t love Putin, even despise and mistrust him. Coz who would ever trust a man in a suit or politicians at all.

            Not me.

It’s just that after carefully studying the development of the Ukraine conflict since 1991 or so, most neutral historians and analysts – incl. sweet little me – came to the conclusion that the fault for said conflict is to be found 100% in the American camp.

Yes, the usual suspects: Nuland, Biden et.al.

It’s all a long-term plan in order to dismantle the Russian Federation. Too bad for America and her fellow Western cronies that they totally underestimated Russia’s economy, number of friends and the support by its own people. Did you really believe Putin started the SMO and didn’t smell the trap he was walking into? As you can see now very clearly Russia was well-prepared for everything that followed.

The only flaw in Russia’s plan was that they overstated how reasonable the USA, and in extension its Ukrainian puppy, NATO and EU would react. But there was no-one to pick up the phone. Quite the contrary. Instead the West sent Blinken and Uschi and Boris, in order to tell Zele the West got his back.

Poor schmucks, the lot of ’em.

Doesn’t matter, Russia has always been super adaptable, and so it proofed this time as well.

Now the collective West is running out of ammo while in Russia the industry is pumping out ammunition and other military paraphernalia 24/7. And the personnel strength is “suddenly” 750,000 trained, combat-ready troops.

Face it: America’s plan has backfired!

Fortunately for you is Putin a reasonable man who wants to avoid a direct confrontation with America but if the WH dilly dallies much longer they might also not find anyone to talk to in the Kremlin. Coz them Russkies are otherwise busy. Putin caved in already to his generals and the voice of the Russian people. They are all getting a bit antsy now and want the Ukraine affair to end = not waiting any longer but starting the invasion for realsies!

And don’t think for a second you’re save now in Autumn and Winter. All the little NATO equipment you can send to the small handful action-ready Ukro servicemen is hopelessly outdated and won’t help, while the Russians love to fight in ice and snow.

Don’t forget: The Russians invented Winter! There was no winter season in existence on our little planet before Russia! 😐

So instead of making lame puns of Putin and his supposed fans, why don’t you grow up, become reasonable and proof yourself worthy of uttering your expertise in an adult-oriented blog’s comment section?

No, it doesn’t. Without even telling what pacifist you’re babbling about and wat he or she’s gotta do with our topic, sorry, I have no clue.

                • Oooh, you can be wicked. Did I really need to put the pronoun “i” in front of that sentence. And it was all one sentence, complete from end to end, no need to be broken into two parts.
I try, but I don’t catch all my typos. If you really think “tonsay” is one word, which has no existence in the English language, then I have little more to say to you. You are superior to me. Mea culpa!

                    I can. But I ain’t.

“Did I really need to put the pronoun “i” in front of that sentence. ”
Yes. And a question mark at the end would be nice in written conversation. How was I supposed to know you’re a pacifist?

“And it was all one sentence, complete from end to end, no need to be broken into two parts.”
Let that be my decision please. Your one sentence covered two things that needed to be clarified.

“I try, but I don’t catch all my typos.”
Then you don’t try. Or you’re then sloppiest typist evarrrr!

I didn’t think since I’m not in the habit of coming to quick, uninformed conclusions. I better ask a question so we2 can talk on the same level again.

“then I have little more to say to you.”

                    Naturally.

I don’t know how committed Russians are to die for the motherland but history has shown that they will readily sacrifice Ukrainian children for the effort. Seriously do you really believe that there are master manipulators controlling whole countries as chess pieces?

Jeezuz!!! Why are we even discussing, how dare you taking part, how dare you having an opinion on the matter? You’re a disgrace for humanity! 😦
Ok, I’ll try to enlighten you quickly: Biden did not do much, the whole plan is going on ever since Putin became prez of the RF. I guess it was still in the shrub’s time, surely during peacebomber Obama’s reign. Victoria Nuland, her family clan of the Kagan’s, with help of the CIA laid the groundwork for destroying the RF, one way or another. It started with the orange revolution, remember. Completely and 100% instigated, operated and financed by the USA.
The plan was executed at he Maidan protests, witch a false flag operation, which made Zelensky president.
Once in place some operatives convinced Zelensky to start terrorizing the mostly Russian Donbass in Eastern Ukraine. This led to civil war and consequently to Russia helping the self-established people’s republics of Donestsk and Lugansk, also Crimea and Mariupol. I trust you know at least a little bit of history since 2014, the little bit the let you see in America.
If not you can ask me for clarification. Or don’t be lazy, it’s all well-documented and archived.

“How did Joe Biden convince Vlad Putin to punch Vlad Zelenski in the nose?”
Joe Biden has private and political interest in Ukraine, som he was on board immediately. I doubt that he was involved in the finer parts of the plans or even informed, tho. CIA/Nuland convinced Zelensky to put even more pressure on the Donbass, intensify the shelling (as revenge for the lost civil war and the cocky new republics) and after leaving Putin hang out to dry – finally let “top secret” plans of an imminent invasion of Donetsk and Lugansk leak to the Kreml. So Putin reacted! Rest is history.
And now for the umpteenth time, Vlad is a name in and by itself, Vladimir is never ever shortened to Vlad. It’s Volodja or Vova if you really buddybuddy. Not sure about Volodimir but that problem will be sorted soon anyway.

“I don’t know how committed Russians are to die for the motherland but history has shown that they will”
.. .die in great numbers! No other country ever had as many casualties as Russsia. Particularly in WWII.

“readily sacrifice Ukrainian children for the effort.”
Bullshit. Their SMO started and is still operating under the first objective of not harming any civilians, not even disrupting daily business in Ukraine. Guess why they took control of the nuclear power plant?
I can assure you all photo material you get to see are photos from Donbass, dead civilian are 99.9% ethnic Russians, and o.1% “friends and collaborators”.
Who has told you about children? Ever seen any evidence? If there were any dead children, I guess we all would know about it for sure, not just hearing some mean rumours. Russians went in with the clear order to root out the nazis and stop the Ukro military from shelling the Donbass on a daily basis, killing children in the process. See how easy it was to turn the blame game around? It’s so easy to release doubt and wrongness into the open.

“Seriously do you really believe that there are master manipulators controlling whole countries as chess pieces?”
Not master manipulators, just manipulators with bags full of dollars. And they don’t control whole countries. They don’t need to. They only need to control the few persons who control the narrative, i.e. the Zelensky regime, the military and the SBU. One example of such manipulators would be Blizzard Biden jr. This is all fact, not a conspiracy theory. America has done this often, always following similar patterns. Everywhere around the world, in Korea, Vietnam, south and central America, north Africa, the middle East, Afghanistan, and now – fresh in – China.

What makes you think that this time, all of a sudden, they would’ve changed their game plan?
I can only promise you that America will fail, the will of the free people will prevail, like in Cuba, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Syria and Afghanistan. All of them shitholes for sure. But at least free and not under control and exploited by US biznizez.

                • We at least ave a shared problem. According to our republican friends Joe Biden weanized the DOJ back in 2014 also. Those two are something pushing the buttons 5 years before they were given the reins.
One of our recent presidents stated “Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years.” He was worried that we might defeat ourselves however but I assure you none on your side of the pond will benefit. Who do you think will be president of Russia next July after your savior has his accident?

Even if there was any one country aggressively grabbing land, why would anyone get the idea there is anything of any value to get from you?

“Who do you think will be president of Russia next July after your savior has his accident?”
You mean when Puti stands too close to an open window? I can tell you – not prophesize but tell you for sure – the next prez will be an angry man. Very very angry. I mean, who wouldn’t? Where Putin tried to be levelheaded and fair and believed in negotiations, and was betrayed over and over again, the next administration will have learned their lesson and be brimming with hardliners.

That doesn’t mean they’re going on a plundering rampage coz dat’s not Russian style. Plus they don’t have any interest in America, even less than in Ukraine. But they will be even harder to conquer, and react very aggressively if the US/EU/NATO should ever try again to do something stupid. The trust is broken, the goodwill is destroyed and gone. It will take the collective west many many years to get anyone in the Kremlin to even pick up the phone. They don’t need to negotiate anymore, there is nothing the West can offer them.

Impenetrable wall! Gate closed! They’re going their own way.

Russia, like South Africa is an inbetween country, part west, mostly east. And by now, after America’s latest silly escapades, they both found a new home, a clear direction to orientate to: China and the greater Asia. Who needs the US and EU if you’re member of BRICS and the AU?

Only reason for me to go there would be if the West deteriorates even further and I couldn’t stand living there any longer. For now we’re living in South Africa, which is the best country on earth. If it becomes too bad here, say if America invades us, maybe we gonna ask for asylum in Russia, but only if we can find a nice little beach house near Sochi.

I’m Gerwoman btw, born and raised child of the collective West and formerly proud to be one.

Ja, Papi .. . or countless other constructions. German is vrey flexible language.

“Papa Putin, Papa Putin stay away from the windows please!”
Why, what? Understanding it literally, why would he stay away from the windows, if it’s he, who, according to American theatralics, defenestrates his political adversaries? Not the other way round. I don’t get it.

“What precipitated this Putin tongue bath?”
The what? Was precipitated by long years of historical study and political activism. And I’m sorry I just don’t bring it over my heart to tell lies or follow the wrongful western narrative.

“Are the residents of Cape Town blaming the Joe Biden administration for causing the daily blackouts?”
No, the residents of Cape Town are blaming the same guys as people from all the other SAfrican cities, towns, hamlets and settlements do: We all blame the same corrupt Eskom management. What does that have to do with global politics? You won’t believe how little Biden or any other US prez does matter in this neck of the woods. People know they can’t trust America.

“Russia has plenty of coal reserves, Daddy won’t share?”
Oh, the Russians do share. They share a lot. And remember, until the Biden/Nuland regime blew up the Nordstream 2 pipeline, that was largely financed by Russia, and destroyed thousands of jobs and 4 or 5 large scale European enterprises, Germans were able to buy gas for reasonable prices and distribute it to their western and southern neighbours.

Well, there is sufficient evidence that Trump’s campaign, beginning with his sons, DID collude with Russia and that Russia did use social media and other venues to spread lies and “disinformation” that may well have affected the outcome of the 2016 election. It isn’t a “nonsensical conspiracy theory”, but a fact-based reality.

I do NOT get my news from social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc., and I do NOT get it from YouTube. So, um, which of our sources are most likely the more reliable?

  2. Some men just never advance from the toddler phase. I watched this video the other day about a guy testing the durability of bench vises. He gather the three best brands and made a 75 lb hammer to hit them with. One lasted 3 hits, another 15 but one took 105 hits before he made the hammer a 101 lbs and hit it another 155 times. it was incredible and it broke. Democracy is being wailed on from many directions at the moment. We need to stop giving men who never grew up hammers.

There is a tale out of Texas in which a man is grazed in the cheek by a bullet fired in anger by a bereaved brother. it the bullet lodged in a tree. Twenty years later the man unknowingly re-animated the bullet which struck him in the temple killing him. but I digress.:)
It is called a “punchline”. It is delivered usually at the end of the joke much like the “close” at the end of a sale. Sometimes it can take 20-40 years between the throwing and the delivery. I admire you young lady. I have zero experience in understanding in any language except English( despite studies in Latin and German). I still struggle mightily even after 68 years of study.

Some? All men I know, no matter their physical age, are much younger on the inside. Even when they are fathers and/or in high ranking jobs/positions. Give ’em a motorcycle, surfski, guitar/amp combo, or a ralley car and see them play.

  3. Trump seems to like the idea of ‘Dynastic Rule’. I think he got the idea from North Korea. If he starts messing with the rules, let’s hope that is the trigger to make people rise up against his policies.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Yes, remember he and Kim Jong-un are best buddies! And he loves Putin, Erdoğan, Orbán and Bolsonaro, too! I just hope that he never has the chance to impose his will on us again! I don’t think much of anything would make his faithful followers rise up against him … until it was too late.

      • “Putin, Erdoğan, Orbán”
All 3 of them put their country before their own interests.
Putin: Love him, loathe him, 82% agreement rate makes him Mister Untouchable!
Erdoğan: Very very flexible, Mister FlipFlop. Not a good ally but makes mostly good decisions for his country.
Orbán: Mister Outcast. Very outspoken and independent thinker. Best EU head of state, that’s why all the spineless swine hate him so much.

Just know your perspective is highly biased, and totally wrong, and aiming against your own best interests. But I guess you’re too old by now to develop into a wonderful socialist butterfly. 😐

  4. Jill, when we discuss DeSantis’ autocratic bent, I usually put the Mar-a-Lago resident at a higher level of tyranny. Donald J. Trump wants to be King. I would like for Republican sycophants of his to convince me I am wrong.

So, I have a solution to our problem called Donald J. Trump. Let’s make him King Emeritus with no authority. We can give him an island to live on and his own biographer to write his memoirs. We can even give him a TV camera to tape segments no one will see. Everyone can call him King and bow to him. But, his duty will be just to go away.

    • Well said, Keith. No, you’re not wrong no matter what the Republican sycophants say. Trump has never made any secret of the fact that he plans/wishes to become ‘king’, but since we are not a monarchy, he would settle for dictator. That said … I really like your solution! If he would agree to that, I’d even help pay to fly food to his island every so often! David has suggested something similar in the past … maybe it’s time for you two to put your heads together and let’s make this happen!!!

      • Thanks Jill. David and I should compare notes. This just in from Michigan courtesy of The Guardian:

“Sixteen people who signed paperwork falsely claiming Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election in Michigan have been criminally charged, Michigan’s attorney general, Dana Nessel, a Democrat, announced on Tuesday.

Michigan was one of several swing states that Trump lost in 2020 in which he and his legal team convened alternate slates of electors as part of an effort to overturn the election. The Tuesday charges mark the first time any of the electors have been charged.”

It still amazes me that people continue to avoid the obvious realization, IF YOU FLY TO CLOSE TO THE TRUMP SUN, YOUR REPUTATION WILL GET BURNED. For some reason, Trump continues to not be held accountable for his many actual and still alleged crimes, but many folks have gone to prison, will go to prison or just get disbarred, dishonored, fined or censored for lying for Donald J. Trump. Keith

        • Yes, you two have many things in common, I think, and some great ideas would come of that ‘meeting of the minds’!

I saw the story about Michigan and the fake electors earlier and I let out a WHOOP and did a bit of a happy dance! About damned time!!! Yes, those who fly too close to the Trump Train land under the wheels eventually. I hope there are more such … not that I’m cruel, but people MUST see that actions have consequences. And most importantly, Trump must learn that he cannot “stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone” and suffer no consequences! He is not a deity!

  5. The thought comes to mind that WHEN Trump dies and a new president is elected — very possibly a Democrat — these same “rules” that Trump would put into place will be true for that person as well. What will the Republicans doo then? Because unless the elected Democratic president puts things back to how they should be, the Republicans could very well feel the negative effects of Trump’s directives.

    • Yes, just like the Senate filibuster and numerous other procedural mechanisms that were once put into place to address a specific situation, but then had far-reaching, unintended, and unforeseen effects. The best possible outcome is that Donald Trump never sets foot in the Oval Office again. If he does, we won’t need to worry about elections after that time, for dictatorships don’t have elections, or if they do, they are shams.

          • A reality. He has already set his plan for his presidency. To have all power to overrule and the power to punish his so called enemies . Like all dictators he will rule with an iron fist. There’s a lot if misinformed people out there in the so called Republican Party that are destroying our democracy.

No pressure. They throw a party gather 10000 people everybody says 1000 Hail Mary’s and start dancing.

    • If the republicans accomplish all they want next term with, probably trump as president, there won’t be a next time for the democrats. Because we will no longer be a democratic nation, but one under authoritarian rule.

      • I don’t foresee ANY of the Republican candidates actually winning the election in November 2024. I think it will be dramatic, stressful, etc., but at the end of the day, I think that President Joe Biden will take the Oath of Office on January 20th, 2025.

        • I think that President Joe Biden will take the Oath of Office … and that’s good … and bad. As discussed here and there in blog world, his age DOES come into play … and I personally would not want Kamala to take over. However, having said that, I sure as heck want him over anyone else currently in the running! So from that perspective, I’m hope you’re right.

          • I’m not in the least worried about Biden’s age, especially after his accomplishments last week. He has shown he’s still very much in control of his mental acuity, and THAT matters more than whether he trips over a sandbag that shouldn’t have been there to start with! There is no viable alternative at this moment in the Democratic Party, so … a) the Dems damned well better throw all their support to Biden, especially with Manchin and Kennedy doing their level best to ensure he doesn’t win, and b) the Dems better be looking in the mirror to find a candidate for 2028 when Biden will be termed out regardless of age.

Just out of curiosity, why would you not want Kamala Harris to take over in the event something happened to Biden?

            • I can’t put my finger on it, but I just don’t think Kamala is a good fit. This is not to say that I would LOVE to see a woman sitting in the Oval Office — and if it came to pass that she took the reins, I would, of course, support her. After all, she’s a Democrat! 😁

              Liked by 1 person

              • I think her strengths are downplayed, perhaps for a reason, because she IS a woman. It seems that when a woman comes across as strong and capable, she is demonized, so perhaps there is a concerted effort to keep Kamala being seen as … harmless, non-threatening to those macho men who are scared of strong women. But, I think that if the worst happened and Biden died in office, we would see a whole ‘nother side of her.

    • “WHEN … a new president is elected…”
If Trump is elected there will be no more elections. Either Don Jr. Or Eric, possibly even Ivsnka, will be installed as Lifetime Leader! And if he has his people at the head of the armed forces, which he will if given a second term, they will be martial law.
I sure as hell hope the opportunity to prove me right never happens!

  6. I am an independent and in the past, I voted for both major parties (and other parties) and for a while mostly Republican. I also supported the Heritage Foundation and gave them money. Then I realized that the Heritage Foundation was aggressively misleading the public, including me, on several issues, notably climate change. I believed so many false things I had to change my mind about. Naturally, I stopped supporting them. A few years later came Trump, a dangerous and narcissistic nutcase with a bizarrely large following. At this point I mostly stopped voting Republican. I saw the problem and we do have a big problem. What a disappointment the last seven years have been. A lot of people don’t get it because they don’t want to understand. They don’t want to see.

    • Like you, I am an Independent, no party affiliations. I have voted for both parties at one time and another, though I think I’ve always leaned more toward the Democratic Party. But today I cannot foresee a time when I would ever again vote for a Republican. In my view, the Heritage Foundation is the definition of … I was going to say ‘evil’, but that may be a bit over the top. They are the force that has driven our Congress and the Supreme Court so far toward the interests of the wealthy that we are no longer represented. You are right … far too many people do not see what is in front of them because they choose not to see it. I must commend you, though, for thinking, for doing the research, for learning and thinking some more and understanding what is taking place in our government. It’s not easy to change a lifetime of beliefs, not easy to admit we were wrong. But you have done just that and I do commend you.

        • How can it take long at all . It was obvious from the beginning of Trumps campaign for president that he was a con man and nothing more than a reality TV star. His behavior was beyond acceptable, criticizing our Military as losers ( when he nor his sons served their country in any way. Face it, Hilary was right I don’t care how much the GOP hated her and we are paying the price and it’s going to be the loss of our Democracy.

          • Obvious to you. Obvious to me. But obviously not obvious to the people who continue to support him and vote for him. You cannot assume that what you (we) know to be true is true for everyone. Alternative “facts” are still facts to the people that belueve them. And there are a lot of believers — whether we want that to be true or not!

            • There’s no such thing as alternative facts, there is such a thing a denial of the truth. That’s what’s going on with Trump supporters. They know the steal is a lie but white supremacy and guns are all that matters.
