{Yawn} JOLLY … I THOUGHT YOU SAID THERE WAS COFFEE??? WHERE THE … oh … um … hi guys! Sorry, I didn’t see you all there! I was … just, um … looking for Jolly … he said there was coffee … an’ as you can see, I really, really need some coffee right about … oh, there you are, Jolly!
Thank you so much … you’re a lifesaver!
So, how was everyone’s weekend? Sorry we’re off to a rocky start, but I haven’t been sleeping well and it’s catching up with me, so I’m still half asleep this morning! But, we’ve got some fun in store for you to start this week off on the right foot (or the left foot, if you, like me, are left-footed!) But first, I know that Joyful has some treats in store, so let’s go see what’s on the buffet table and then we’ll go in search of some smiles ‘n chuckles …
We’ve got a few music puns for you to enjoy …
And then there are the funny signs …
And on to the cartoons!!!
And now for the weekly cute/funny animal video!
Well, dear friends, our time together has come to an end, but we’ll be right here waiting next week — same time, same place! We hope you are leaving with a full belly and a smile on your face, and as always, we ask only that you share those smiles with others as you go about your week! Keep safe and have a wonderful week! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!

I’d picked 3 of the signs as my favorites, but by the time I’d finished and gotten to here, I can only recall the Selective Hearing one from the top of my head, so that’s my favorite. The pastries look delicious, as well. Thanks, Jill, and here’s to some great sleep. If not, maybe you can try some Yogi Bedtime tea. It has passionflower and a bit of valerian, and works well without the colorful dreams they say melatonin brings. I dunno; the Bedtime works for me, so I’ve not tried melatonin. I do not work for Yogi, I just love their tea.

Your memory sounds exactly like mine, Ali! The selective hearing one was good … and I can guess at the other two! “Yogi Bedtime tea” eh? I’m not a tea drinker but heck, at this point I’ll try almost anything! I don’t need any colourful dreams, though! I have enough weird dreams once I do finally kick off to sleep as it is! The other night, I dreamed that the UPS delivery guy brought me a box with what looked like 3 tea bags, but he said they were seeds for babies, that the government had sent them to my care, and that I was to keep them moist and in a dark place and soon I would have 3 babies! I kept shoving the box back at him, saying I didn’t WANT any babies, but he said the government had decided and I didn’t have a choice! Weird, or what? Sigh. Just for one 5-hour night with no dreams … I’d even try the Yogi tea!!!

The tea is delicious, and comforting. It is good cold, also, and still does its work, so be comfy. I usually have 2 if it’s one of those nights, then go right off to bed and sleep. I know we get to a point in life where we try not to drink before bed, but it’s worth it. If I have to make a potty run, I always get right back to sleep with no trouble at all. It’s wonderful stuff, and dreams are whatever is normal for you.
Oh, my, babies. Well, at least growing them that way’d be easier than the usual human way!

I will look for that tea this week! I get up to pee at least every two hours anyway, so I don’t suppose it will hurt anything … my usual bedtime beverage is a glass of wine, but perhaps tea would work better!
Yes, there’s that, but I still don’t need any babies! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt! 😉

Happy Jolly Monday, Jill. I definitely need the extra strong coffee today. What a week ahead.
I love the return of the windshield meme. There’s always a different definition of horror depending on the audience.

Happy Jolly Monday to you too, Ab! I hope your week ahead isn’t going to be too stressful! Yes, the windshield ‘toon no doubt strikes fear into the hearts of many an insect! And birds, too.

“Kung-fu Fighting” and “Light My Fire” are the best, but then, I’m a cat guy. 🐈⬛

Heh heh … REALLY??? I never would have guessed! We have 5 cats, so I guess that makes us cat people, too! Although, I’ve had dogs and cats all my life and generally find dogs easier to get along with! But I do love our moggies.

Jill, I have a feeling someone with Aspergers would spell asparagus better than this chalkboard writer. Keith

Agreed!
But I also noticed, that’s one devil of a good price for that dinner! 🙂

It is, but … do you really trust the salmon cooked by somebody who cannot even spell the word ‘special’?

Or asparagus?

Well, since that is not my favourite veggie by any means, I probably wouldn’t eat it anyway!

Oh yes, there’s no doubt they would! And since they couldn’t even spell the word ‘special’ right, I’m not sure I’d trust them to cook my salmon properly!

I really enjoyed the signs this week, Jill. (The rest was good too of course) 🙂
It seems like using the notification sidebar to get here is working, so I will stick with that.
Best wishes, Pete.

I’m glad you enjoyed them!
Just today I finally got a response from the Happiness Engineers … a canned response, along with a screen shot showing that all my posts are now on Reader. I’m glad you found a way that works and hopefully, fingers crossed, it continues to work!

Another stellar collection. Those Dennis ones are truly funny.
I’d quite forgotten about good old ‘The Better or for Worse’….must seek out the strip
But who can beat a collection of Earl and Opal gems ‘And bring muffin down with you’ has to be up there in the top ten🤣.
Thanks Jill

I’m glad you enjoyed them! Yes, I get “For Better or for Worse” nightly from ArcaMax, the same place I get Pickles and a number of others! I did love the Dennis the Menace one where he told his dad to just tell the officer he’s good-looking like mom does! Have a good week ahead, dear friend!
