Monday again already??? Somebody’s messin’ with time, I think, ’cause it was just Monday a few days ago! Ah well … the one bright spot in every Monday is you guys coming over to share snacks ‘n laughs with us … it’s always a great way to start the week! So, thank you for coming! Joyful and I wanted to do something a little bit different this week and Jolly came up with the idea of a Chinese food feast! So, go grab a snack and let’s go find some fun ‘n humour!
Shall we begin the day with some phunny puns?
We found a whole bunch of signs that made us laugh …
Okay … okay … I hear you … ‘toons it is!!!
And to finish off the morning we’ve got a cute animal video … watch how this man and dog communicate and seem to understand every word, every bark …
Well, friends, we’ve really enjoyed your company this morning and hope we’ve given you some smiles and chuckles to start the week. Please be sure to share those smiles with others this week … it’s funny how sometimes just having someone smile at you when you’re down can make the world seem a little bit brighter. Keep safe and have a great week ahead! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly, and Joyful!!!

Happy Jolly Monday, Jill. I do love that you included some Asian fare for breakfast – that Mapo tofu dish looks so good. And as a Star Trek TNG fan, I love a good TNG meme!

Thanks, Ab! I’m glad you enjoyed the Asian fare and found some humour to start your week, too! Are you feeling better now?

Thanks Jill. I am slowly on the mend. Went back to work on Monday. I’m still quite tired but thankfully no phlegm cough up yesterday so that’s an improvement. Hoping to get my lungs checked out soon to make sure I’m all in the clear.

I’m glad to hear you’re on the mend, but don’t push yourself, Ab. Rest when you need to. I’ve been there several times and speak from experience! Thinking of you …

Usually, I am off on Mondays from my employed job. Today I was at the office since a co-worker was off. But it doesn’t matter. Tomorrow is our national holiday and the rest of the week is mine to work for my own business… cool week!

I swear my foot slipped off the brake. I barely tap the bumper caused a smudge in the wax, seriously. Anyway this atmospherically challenged young man(I don’t know how he touched the pedals) walks back and just stares at the bumper. He then turns and glares at me and says “I’m not happy.” So I say to him “Then which one are ya then”. That’s when the fight started.

I’ll take the freezer today – we are having a bit of a heat wave here (I know, like the rest of the world…but we are definitely not used to it…) Happy Monday!

I saw that the Pacific Northwest was having excessive heat, so that would include you guys, too! Stay cool, as best you can … winter is but a few short months away! Sorry no bacon today, but we’ll make up for it next week! Have a great week, dear Emily!

Jill, the walk in freezer example is so funny and apt. Two days ago, I was at a high school reunion at a restaurant in Florida. The AC was on the fritz, so several of us repeatedly walked into their beer freezer to cool down. One time, we scared the “you-know-what” out of a waitress who opened the door to find four of us.
By the way, my Florida friends said it does seem hotter than it used to be. It wasn’t just us saying that. It was hotter than Hades. But, they should be comforted that the autocratic bent governor says global warming is all in Democrats’ heads. I did not take a poll, but I am quite certain Republicans, Democrats and independents alike were all sweating and miserable.

Oh MY!!! I cannot even imagine how hot that must have been, with no A/C and temps probably hovering close to 100°!
Yes, I can imagine that the heat is rather a great equalizer … when everyone is sweating and miserable, does it really matter who caused it, who is right and who is wrong? I hope you had a great time, though, despite the heat and broken A/C! Was it strange seeing people you hadn’t seen in nigh on 50 years? I cannot even imagine …
