Happy Jolly Monday, dear friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to hop back into the weekday routine. We are here to ease the transition from weekend to weekday with some humour of all sorts! Oh, and some yummy snacks, too! Since it is almost officially autumn, Joyful decided to go with some soup and homemade bread for this morning’s treats, so help yourself and then let’s start this week out with some laughs, shall we?
Let’s get this show on the road with some music-related cartoons!
And how about some punny puns, compliments of Phil’s Phun
Naturally we have an abundance of ‘toons!
Jolly has been collecting memes and we keep forgetting to share them, so here’s some of them …
And last, as always, a cute animal video that’s sure to bring a smile to your face …
Well, friends, it’s that time again … time to head out to the salt mines and do something useful! We hope you’ve enjoyed a few chuckles and laughs this morning, and we really hope you’ll share some smiles with others as you go through the coming week! Keep safe and have a good week. Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly & Joyful!!!

Wanna hear a funny? This post, and a whole lot of others, didn’t show up in my Reader till Tuesday! So it’s not your Word Press, it’s mine. Now I’m a day behind and at least 7 posts short of a loaded Reader.

What??? They’ve all been going straight to Reader as soon as they’re published for over a week now … I can’t figure why they didn’t show up on yours. Do you refresh your Reader daily? Sigh. WordPress is going to cause me to throw something through my computer yet!

Like I said, it wasn’t just you. I have to refresh my reader to get all the comments, so I’m doing that every few hours.

Every time they make a change, it seems to screw something else up. I cannot even think to imagine how big the program for Wird Press is, but opening it up all the time is a recipe for disaster. My bank loves changing something every month, and every month I have to learn how to do what I used to do real easy. It drives me crazy.

I hear you! AOL, my primary email server, recently made some major changes and it took me a week to figure out how to sort my email by sender! I revert to what my late-ex-husband used to say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

What kind of soup and bread were on the menu, and, if it’s not too much trouble, can you write out some of the puns? I don’t expect you to do all 10 of them but maybe a couple of the funniest ones?
have you read any of the piers anthony xanth books? If you like puns, you’d probably like those as well. He writes in the realm of sci-fi/fantasy.
Have a good week as well.

All kinds of soup and homemade bread! Bean soup, chicken/rice soup, vegetable soup, and several loaves of white ‘n wheat ‘n Italian breads. I will see what I can do about describing the puns for you, but it’ll have to be later today, for I am heading for bed in about 5 minutes, since it’s nearly 3:00 a.m. No, I’ve never read any of Piers Anthony Xanth’s books, but then I’m not a fan of SciFi. I’ll check him out, though.

I’m really glad you enjoyed the humour today … Jolly ‘n Joyful do a good job of finding the best ‘toons! And yes, it’s getting that time when I think about using the crock pot more … what I love most about that is that it makes the whole house smell good all day!

Oh, yes, that’s right! That smell makes everyone feel cozy!

I’m so glad you enjoyed them, Roger! Ooohhhh … a Facebook page dedicated to Pickles … I must go find it right now! Found it … am following. Was sad to read that the cartoonist’s mother-in-law, the inspiration for Opal, had died, though. Have a happy week ahead, dear friend.

Yes it was sad. They must have been quite a team to have inspired that strip.
Looking at a whole run of the cartoons I noticed how valuable Roscoe the dog’s expressions are😃.
Well the weather’s cooler (and damp) here and the virus which I caught last week in subsuming so the week will hopefully be better.
Hope yours goes well Jill good friend

Yes, I love Roscoe … his face always says it all! It’s finally dropped below 90° (32° C) here, so I’m pretty happy. Sorry to hear you caught a virus … did you get tested for Covid? David and his daughter both caught Covid a week or two ago. Happy Tuesday!

Covid? I dunno Jill. Our test kits use by dates had expired and we couldn’t get our hands on new ones.
Maybe just a bad summer cold/ something. Sorry to hear about David and his daughter.

David said he received 14 test kits from the NHS that he had not ordered a week or so before he began feeling bad. Did they not send any to you? I figured since you both live in Wales, you would have gotten some too.

They are limited now to to folk with particular medical conditions. Thus far we do not qualify.
After going to one pharmacy I had always valued and found they had replaced the old helpful staff with some of the ‘No we haven’t got any Don’t know. Too bad,’ school I ordered some online (paid for of course).

Ohhhhh … I didn’t realize that … I guess I just thought they sent them out to everyone over a certain age. Sheesh … it shouldn’t be so hard!
