Just Another Jolly Monday …

Well, well … here we are again, right back at the beginning of another week.  They just fly by entirely too fast, don’t they?  It got c-c-cold here over the weekend and for the first time in months, I am wearing a sweatshirt instead of just a t-shirt.  I don’t mind, though … it actually felt kind of nice.  So, how was your weekend?  Do anything fun?  Well, I see Joyful just finished putting out a few snacks for us to enjoy, so let’s go grab a bite and then see what fun things we can find to start this week out with a smile, shall we?

Let’s start the morning with some puns …

We’ve got just a few animal memes to share with you …

Now, about those ‘toons …

And to wrap up our time together this morning, Jolly found this really fun animal video about a raven named Walt … you will laugh … I promise!

Well, friends, once again it’s time to get out there and be productive in one way or another.  We’ve really enjoyed spending a bit of time with you this morning and we hope you found something that brought a smile to your face.  Remember to share those smiles with others this week and let’s see just how many smiles we can spread in one week!  Keep safe and have a happy week.  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!!!

Note to readers:

Filosofa took some much-needed time away from ye olde blog this past weekend and as a result, some comments may have gone unanswered, for which I offer my sincere apologies.  I try never to let that happen, but every now and then I just get overwhelmed and have to step back for a day or two.

  1. Thank you for this-wonderful as usual! I even remember I liked the re-seeding heirline, and the plant parenthood meeting ones the best, but all is outstanding and refreshing. I hope you’re at least somewhat refreshed, as well. Thank you for all you do!

    • We (Jolly, Joyful and I) are so happy that you found some humour here and enjoyed the puns ‘n ‘toons! Slightly refreshed … it’s hard with everything happening in the world right now, y’know? Thank YOU, my friend, for your encouragement!!! Hugs

  2. Sorry to use your blog, Jill, but Oct. 14th is Referendum Day in Australia, and I know you have a lot of Australian readers. Please, vote YES on Oct. 14th. Make this world a less hurtful and hateful place to be. And ask your friends to PLEASE vote YES! Bring Australia into the 21st Century.

  3. Happy Jolly Monday. At least it’s a holiday – Thanksgiving for us Canadians here. 😊 The kleptomaniac meme made me life. I’m gonna have to steal that one for my use.

    • Ah yes … my daughter reminded me of that last night! I hope you’re enjoying your holiday! Feel free to steal the kleptomaniac meme or anything else you find here! I’m just happy you enjoyed it!

  4. We still get high late summer temps (still unusual for this time of the year). But you can say fall has arrived. In the mornings and evenings, it is getting pretty cool quickly.

      • Oh, hope it is not going to be too cold. Warmer-than-usual winters are our new regular winters. Not good. Expecially because of the insects that don’t die and the new ones that are settling here.

        • No, it wasn’t too cold and the frost didn’t materialize. It only got down to about 38° F (3° C). The last several winters have been warmer than usual and we had only 2-3 measurable snowfalls last winter compared to 12-15 on the average winter. No, it isn’t good … not at all.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed the smiles and the Walt video! You’re right … it doesn’t seem likely that he will ever be able to fly well, but he seems to have a good home with people who love him, and also the freedom to roam. The best of both worlds!

  6. I felt a bit sorry for Walter. I’m sure he has imprinted on her, thinks the lady is his mother, and doesn’t like to be separated from her. Good to see she still allows him to be one of the family.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  7. Earl naturally has the right answer. He is truly in tune with the Universe.
Mind you Garfield’s views on peopling come a close second.
And somehow the Star Trek one is ‘just right’
Thanks Jill for another very funny selection
