No, we know it isn’t the official Groundhog Day which happens on February 2nd, but Monday starts to feel like that movie with Bill Murray where it keeps happening over and over and over, ad infinitum. Ah well … we love Mondays, right? Back to the routine that keeps us grounded. Joyful has been in the kitchen making pizzas all morning, while Jolly went out for some coffee and treats to help Joyful out, so let’s head over to the buffet table and see what they’ve put out for our Monday morning palate and then we’ve got some things to (hopefully) put a smile on your face to start off the week.

Just so you guys who always say “Yuck” to the pineapple on pizza know …
Well, now that we’ve got something to eat, what say we have a few puns to make us either smile or groan?
A few funny signs seen out and about should bring a chuckle …
And now for the main event … da ‘toons!!!
And a few funny memes we’ve been collecting …
Which brings us to our last fun thing … a cute critter video! I think you’ll enjoy this one about Nibi, the rescued baby beaver!
And now, folks, I’m sad to say that our time together is up, but don’t worry, for undoubtedly there is another Monday right around the corner!!! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful week ahead, and don’t forget to share those smiles with others who might not have one of their own. And feel free to come back any time to replenish your smile stash if you need to! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!!!

It’s 1 am Tuesday lol and I only have nine bucks.

Uh-oh … I hope the fridge is well stocked?

Good thing I don’t have a fragile ego. As if a day late and a dollar short won’t drive one to drink.

Ah, but with only nine bucks, you cannot afford even a bottle of the cheap stuff! 😉

Griff was driving my car and his brother was in the shotgun seat and me in the back. We went thru the drive thru and had a 15 pack of Stroh’s and a bottle of Rosie (Wild Irish Rose wine). Got to go but I’ve experienced how to stretch ten bucks. 🙂

Oooohhhh … bad thing combining Strohs and Rosie … haven’t you heard that old saying, “Never mix the grape and the grain”? 😉

Good ones, Jill. I keep asking why Monday comes around so fast as well.

Do you notice that with each passing year, Monday rolls around faster and faster until we feel like we’re on a carousel that has gone out of control? Nonetheless, have a good week ahead, my friend!

I’ve come full circle and don’t seem to mind Monday any more.

In some ways, I like Mondays nowadays, for I’m a creature of routine and my routine is thrown off on weekends.

Amazing a beaver knows how to be a beaver, I wonder if you raised a toddler with no human contact if they would know instinctively what to do with Lego?

Jill, a man will never be shot while doing the dishes. Per that picture, he won’t be hung out to dry with a noose either. Keith

That is so true!!! I think I would stop short of hanging my fella out to dry for refusing to help with the dishes, but I might just … oh, maybe overcook his supper by a bit! 😉

Have a great new week despite everything. I would say: it can only get better but the last 10 years have taught me that’s a myth 😜🤣

I’m retired. There’s no such thing as Monday.

I’m retired too, since 2008, but there’s still a difference between the week and the weekend, mainly because my daughter is home on weekends and we have more family time, but by Sunday night I’m ready to get back to my routine, such as it is.

I loved Nibi the beaver, but I am unsure how well she will cope when she is released into the wild.
Great jokes and puns as always!
Best wishes, Pete.

I wondered the same, Pete. She has relied on humans to the extent that I don’t know how well she would fare in the wild. Hopefully, they will make that decision cautiously. Glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday … have a great week ahead!

Nibi is adorable. It’s fascinating to see her pile sticks, I always imagined young beavers’ learnt by example and yet here we see an instinct at work too. Fascinating.
Getting ready to clean the kids room…..Yeah I can relate to that!!
Great selection Jill.

I thought the same … that dam-building would be a learned thing, but apparently it’s instinctual! I love the way she sorts the toys from the sticks, too … so smart! Glad you enjoyed this week’s Jolly Monday, my friend!

An incredible one I witnessed (but can’t find the clips) was on the relationship between some fresh water turtles and crocodiles.
The turtles lay their eggs near a crocodile’s territory when crocodiles are laying theirs. Then, when the baby turtles hatch a mother crocodile by instinct treats them as hatchling baby ‘crocs’ and lifts them up in her mouth placing them into the water.
Like…wow!😲

Oh I would love to see that!!! Seems to me that Mother Nature works things out just fine … until humans with their “superior” brains intervene!
