A few days ago I shared our friend Roger’s post, Into The Pit. Essay I(The Palestine / Israeli War). Who Did This?.  Today I am sharing Part II of his thoughts on the Palestine/Israeli War.  Roger is a longtime student of history and is the best I know at putting today’s events into historical context, helping us to understand the ‘whys’ and ‘wherefores’.  And then asking us to think for ourselves.  The conflicts in the Middle East are complex and not easily understood by we in the west, but that’s not a good excuse to ignore them, for we are ALL part of the global world and what happens “over there” will affect us all in one way or another.  Thank you, Roger, for your deep dive and your insights.  Looking forward to Part III …
