‘Twas A Joyful ‘N Jolly Monday

Good morning friends, and welcome to our humble home!  How was your weekend?  Mine?  Oh, ’bout the same as usual.  Chris had a couple of extra days off, so we enjoyed having her home more, but we didn’t do anything in particular.  Joyful is a bit under the weather today, so we’re keeping the Monday fare simple … things that Jolly could do without lighting the stove!  So go find a snack and a nice warm drink over at the buffet table, then let’s see if we can start this week off with some laughs … or at least smiles, okay?

Sowwy there’s no bacon, guys … Gwammie won’t let me even turn on da oven!

Hmmmm … where should we begin the morning … how about some music-related humour?

A few animal memes seems like a good thing for bringing a smile …

And now … I really think it’s time for some ‘toons, don’t you?

This is for our friend rawgod who does, in fact, live in Alberta …

And last, but never least, we have a fun animal video for you, courtesy of Sally Cronin over at Smorgasbord Blog!

Wow, huh?  What if we humans were that compassionate, loving, blind to irrelevant differences, caring and giving?  What a wonderful world this could be.  Thank you, Sally C., for finding that one — I think that’s my favourite ever!

Well, friends, time to wrap up and get a start on this week.  We hope that we helped start your week with a smile and that the smile lasts all week long!  Don’t forget to share some smiles … when you share them, your own supply doubles!  Keep safe and have a great week.  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!!!

  1. 😄😄 The socks that met in a dark drawer! 😄😄 Also, I cannot believe that PB&J on cinnamon raisin toast has never occurred to me-I eat it on regular toast often. Cinnamon-raisin bread is on the list now… 🤤 Thanks, Jill!

  2. Thanks for the wonderful smiles, Jill. I saw a documentary about the bear, the tiger and the lion. They grew up together as cubs in captivity. They were so good pals that they never seperated them later, when they were rescued and brought to a wildlife shelter, and they are still best pals, but the bear seems to be the boss. 😉

    • I didn’t know there was a documentary! I’ll go in search of. Yes, theirs is s special story … and one I still think we humans could learn a lot from. Glad you found some smiles here to start your week, Stella!

    • Awwww … we’re sorry, but you remember what happened last time Jolly tried his hand at cooking … took weeks to get the smell of smoke out of the house, and the kitchen rebuilt! You have a great Monday and a great week ahead, my dear friend!

  3. I like celebrating Monday and your food choices, yum!! And thanks for the chuckles. It is really like an addiction. You start reading the first joke, you cannot stop until you are through 😂

  4. I began with some concern that criticisms on you music selections were taking a toll. The puns dispelled them. 😜Why do dogs stick their heads out of car windows? Same reason humans lost their fur. 🤣 To which I have to go play in the sewer today so I sought some inspiration. It’s Monday!

    • Nah, the criticisms aren’t really criticisms at all, just expressions of our different tastes! That’s what makes music so fascinating … there’s something for everyone, and we each have unique tastes. I try to please, but I also realize that I can’t please everyone, so I play what I like and hope some others like it, too.

Why will you be playing in the sewer today??? I can think of much nicer places to play on a gorgeous day like this … sun is shining, temps are just perfect!

It’s impossible to listen to that song without getting up and moving!!! Or at least tapping the toes. Thanks!

      • A young lady of ordinary means was told it would cost 13 thousand. I told her I would do it for the 10 the insurance would cover. My sons and grandsons help dig the hole now I’m in it replacing the pipe. 🫤
Glad you liked it. I’m ready for “I want to be sedated”.

  6. Great selection as always, and a heartwarming video too. (Though I find it sad to see captive Bears in zoos, along with so many other animals that do not have enough space to enjoy life.)
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • I stopped going to zoos long ago, for that very reason. However, often it is a safe refuge for animals that were abandoned or lost in infancy and could not survive on their own in the wild. Glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday and I hope you have a good week ahead, my friend.
