  1. Hello. Jill, oh Jill thank you. That very first cartoon caused me to hug myself in joy. I had a bad night last night, up walking the floor listening to one song in my earbuds over and over and over. That cartoon is the very thing I needed. Thank you. Hugs. Scottie

    • Awwww Scottie … I’m so very glad Calvin & Hobbes helped you feel better and caused you to hug yourself! Would that all your blogging friends could line up and each of us give you a big hug! Nevertheless, I’m sending you one big virtual hug!!! HUGS

  2. Jill, Calvin and Hobbes offer their usual pearls of wisdom here. I guess we care that too many politicians have such a hard time with the truth. Yet, we must suffer these foolish actions and words from folks with names like Trump, DeSantis, Santos, Taylor Greene, Jordan, Johnson, Menendez, Gaetz, et al. Keith

    • Yeah … I thought maybe we all needed to step back a step or two and just think about the bigger picture for a little bit. Calvin & Hobbes are good at that! Sigh. The juveniles in our government seem incapable of coherent thought, of actually governing, and are more about the show, about seeing their names in the headlines and the television news. Meanwhile … 3 days now until the government will shut down and tens of thousands of people will lose their pay … right before the holidays. Not to mention all the other negative effects on our national security, assistance for those in need, and so much more. Sigh.

    • OH DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! I cannot believe I completely MISSED World Kindness Day!!! Where was my brain??? This year, we need it more than ever … and ol’ Filosofa was asleep at the wheel, wrapped up in angst over U.S. politics, wars, etc. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr … Sigh. You know I do care, rg … too much for my own sanity, I sometimes think.

      • I know most of our “internet friends” care. It’s not an official group as such, but we see each other on a number of blogs. I think we would all like to see this world become a better place for everyone to live.
As for forgetting this was World Kindness Dsy, it was Swsbby429 who told me. He is our new Ellen, sort of. I myself pay no attention.
BTW, thank you for the birthday greetings last week. I don’t celebrate them either, but I don’t deny they come every year. Age is just a number, life is how we feel.

        • Over the years, I’ve come to think of my blogging friends as a second family. Most who have stayed with me throughout the years are of like minds on most issues, so we get along well, support each other’s efforts, and genuinely care. I like that. Yep, age is just a number, but if how we feel is the true indicator, then I’m about ready for the garbage heap!
