Good {yawn} Monday morning, fr… {yawn} friends! Did you all {yawn} have a wonderful weekend? Here in the U.S., it was {yawn} Thanksgiving weekend, so please forgive me if I’m a little {yawn} tired from cooking/eating/cleaning/shopping/etc. Since Joyful and I are a bit tired of cooking, we asked Jolly to pick up some snacks for this morning, so let’s go see what he got for us and then we’ll find some humour to start this week off with a smile!
Thanks, Jolly! I think that the coffee and donut have helped me wake up a bit now. Let’s get this show on the road with a few puns, shall we?
I found some ‘phun phacts’ over at Phil’s that I thought were really cool!
Ready for some ‘toons???
Well, it feels to me like it’s time for a cute/funny animal video … what do you think? I found this over at Sally’s Smorgasbord and I was amazed by the gentle, playful interactions between these cats and parrots!
Well, friends, I’m sure you have plenty you need to do today, so we’re sorry to see you go, but we’re happy we got to spend some time with you this morning and that we helped put those gorgeous smiles on your faces! Please remember to share the smiles as you go through the coming week … times are tough and I think we could all use a smile every now and then. Keep safe and have a good week! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!!!

Hello. Wow so much / many grand things here, how to comment on just a few? But on the dream recording one … I pity the person that has to view most of my nightmare dreams. However I have some good therapist I can recommend to them, and yes they will need it. Normal people do not need to see my dreams. And really I suspect it would be about the same for … more normal folk.
As for the camera in space … I was in Sat intelligence in the 1980s and back then we could count foreign troop sizes by counting their shoes, then divide by two. And no that is not revealing military secrets. Think on it, if we could do that in 1980 what the fuck can we do now, count the pimples on recruits necks? Just look at how good Google Earth is and why the US government has a depth limit on any pictures that use their satellites. Hugs. Scottie

I’m glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday and found some humour here! No, Scottie, I would not wish for one moment to view any of your dreams … though if it would take away some of your pain, I would gladly do so.
I had no idea you had worked in the field of Sat intelligence!!! Much about you I don’t know! But yes, today’s technology has certainly given us remarkable capabilities, but I have to wonder if that’s always a good thing? Have a good week ahead, dear friend. Hugs

The charging phone one made me light. I love a good play on words. This Monday just flew by, albeit I’m sick boo, and hope the rest of the week flies by! Happy Jolly Monday!

Great funnies as always, and I was amazed at the way those cats tolerated the birds!
Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks, Pete! I’m really glad you enjoyed the funnies, and yes … as a family that has had as many as 10 cats at one time (down to just 4 now) I was amazed by the playful interactions between kitties and birdies! It made me smile … not an easy task these days!

So funny! Ace and I were just contemplating that very philosophical question Thanksgiving. If a tree falls in a toilet….?
LikeLiked by 3 people
Oh … I thought they were growing out of the toilet, like maybe a tree seed had somehow fallen into the toilet! Did you and Ace come to any conclusions?

I was on a mountain in New Mexico when I found a loo with a beautiful flower growing from it. Ace is not as enamored of humans as we are of dogs. He fails to see the significance of the sound since you can only hear it if the tree does not fall on you. If it’s not transactional it’s not important.

Ace is one smart dog! I’m not as enamoured of humans as I am dogs, either, for the most part. I think our cats are the same … they often seem annoyed when we talk … as if they are saying, “Woman, just shut up and pat me!”

Swift thinking there with the cowboy boots Earl.
Opal knows where the will is.
I love that 21st century tooth-fairy.
Another great start to a Monday.
Thanks Jill

Yeah 6.33pm GMT.
I’ve just been wrestling with on-line ordering – you know how those go. I was then foolish enough to choose this time to do on line-research on a US right-wing YouTube site. It’s has 153,000 followers. Is still going on about 9/11 and UFOs and that’s before I get around to its take on current events.
I am now cross, tired and in need of something sensible. It’s either Quantum Physics, Cosmology or just closing my eyes and opening up my heart to God for patience and calm.

I hear you, my friend. It usually takes only about 5 minutes of perusing the news first thing in the mornings (after feeding the moggies and other morning chores) to set my teeth on edge. Whatever works for you to calm the mind, go for it. For me, it’s usually to get up and try to do something physical, even something simple like cleaning the kitchen or folding a load of laundry.

Hehe, very funny, especially the one with the walrus thong … I didn’t get the one with the English runner though.
The video is charming. It is amazing what different species of animals can live peacefully together. Humans, you see that? On Instagram there is a series with puppies growing up together with ducks. When they grow up together, they seem to remain friends also as adults.

neither did I…. nor the one with the iguana. maybe because English isn’t our first language!?

That is definitely the case sometimes. I have the same with Danish puns, which my husband finds hilarious and I just go “What is funny about that?”

I think the Iguana is supposed to be: I gonna love you forever (hahaha) 😉

The one with the English runner is just the pronunciation of her name … “Iona Lake” … I own a lake. And the Iguana is again pronunciation … I guana love you … We Americans do take liberties with language! Hope you enjoyed some of the ‘toons, though!

Ahhhh … the one with the English runner … her name is “Iona Lake” … “I own a lake”.
I’m 100% with you … I always love seeing the videos where different species mingle and become friends … and here humans cannot even tolerate members of their own species if they differ in any way! I must say, those cats amazed me … we have furry family members and I really think they would kill the poor birdies … but maybe they would surprise me!

Cats that are used to hunt will not suddenly become friends with prey animals, I don’t think that is possible. But when they are used to different animals from when they are kittens, it is another matter altogether. In some cases it is the mother instinct that overcomes the species border. I saw a video with a cat breastfeeding small hedgehogs, and she put up with the pain from the spikes, although they might not be as hard when they are babies.

I’ve seen several videos of dogs nursing kittens or vice versa, but never one nursing baby hedgehogs! Most other species are far more tolerant than humans … humans somehow feel they were made to dominate all other species. Sigh. I think I’m tired of being a human … I’ll be a wolf in my next life! 🐺

I will be a horse, or a big bird, a great horned owl maybe.

Sounds good! If I see a great horned owl as I roam with my wolf pack, I shall raise a paw to you! Not to harm, mind you, but as a greeting!

And as an otter just wanting to have fun and enjoy the world around me, I will give you both salutes of friendship, while diving deep into the water to avoid being your lunch. 😀😃🤩😌 Hugs. Scottie

Haha, I doubt that a horned owl can get hold of an otter or can it?

I think they have pretty powerful talons … maybe it would depend on the size of the otter!

Hahaha, did you year that, Scottie? 🙂

I’ll be on the lookout for cute little otters and I promise you won’t be my lunch! Anyway, I’ve already decided to be a vegetarian wolf! Hugs
