G-g-good m-m-morning, friends! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr … come in … quick, close the door behind you … it is so c-c-cold that when I sneeze or cough, ice crystals come out of my nose and mouth. Okay, okay … slight exaggeration there. According to the thermometer it’s nearly 70° in here and I haven’t set foot outside today, yet I sit here bundled in sweatshirt, sweatpants, and thick knit socks, and still shivering! Is it almost spring yet? 🌴
I hope Joyful made something nice and hot for our snack this morning … let’s go check it out and then we’ll go in search of some humour to warm us!
I only have a few cute pictures today, but I always like to start out with them whenever I can … such a good way to start the week …
Next up … some music puns!
And now, on to the cartoons!!!
And a few memes because my collection is overflowing!
Boy, time sure does fly when you’re having fun with friends, doesn’t it? We’ve just about got time for a fun critter video. Today’s is special because our friend Scottie sent it to me a few days ago … he’s so sweet like that, always thinks of me when he comes across something he thinks I will like. Thank you, Scottie!!!
Well, friends, it’s that time again … time to make ourselves useful! Be sure to share those beautiful smiles I see on your faces with others as you go through the week ahead! We can all use one sometimes! Keep safe, keep warm, and have a good week! Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly ‘n Joyful!!!

Definitely a tough start to the week shoveling 15″ of snow. Thanks for the bacon, and you photos are the best!

OH ICK!!!! BLECH!!! ⛄ We’ve only had about 1/2 inch so far, but plenty of rain, wind, and c-c-cold. Snow’s coming on Sunday, they say. Take care, stay safe & warm, my friend. Glad you enjoyed the bacon and the pics!

It was a very very tough start to my week, Jill. Less than jolly. Glad to have these photos and post to smile about. Hope you have a good week ahead.

OH NO … I’m so very sorry to hear that, Ab! I missed your last post (just now went in search of, found and read it). When it rains, it pours, doesn’t it? I hope that you did find a bit of a smile here at Jolly Monday … wish I could do more.

I just love these, every time I read them. I try to recall 2-3 that are my top favorites, but no joking, I liked each one better as I kept scrolling! Thank you so much, and you have a great week, too, Jill!

Oh, I am sooooo glad you’re enjoying Jolly Monday!!! I started it many, many years ago at the suggestion of a friend who said that we have enough angst all week, couldn’t I at least start the week off with some humour? I took that to heart, and I try my level best to do just that! Have a happy week, my friend!

The funniest one in the video was the guy who got bit by the snake…hilarious…unless it happened to me…then not so hilarious.

Heh heh … so THAT’S why you were sitting there chuckling to yourself, eh? ❤

Thanks again for the great laughs. I had to thing hard about the Chopin one, “Thanks for shopping”? I only got it when I tried to think how an anglophone might pronounce it, haha.

I’m glad you found some laughs here to start your week off right! Yes, sometimes the language can make understanding a joke a bit difficult! But you got it! Have a good week ahead, Stella!

Oh, how sweet to be welcomed so lovingly, Jill. I am happy to be back when even I did enjoy the time (more or less) away from social media and more focused on my projects which developed well.
We had a very nice time with the different celebrations with everyone. Really lovely and so peaceful.
Oh, they did, I had a good start and the smiles you caused definitely did the trick too 😊 thank you, dear Jill!

Happy Monday and warm Hugs, my friend! Thanks for all the smiles and laughs!! And the pics are adorable!! I might need to borrow one for a story. 🙂
YES about McDonald’s. I think that every time I go by the McDonalds close to us. What were they thinking choosing those colors????

Happy Monday to you, my dear friend! Feel free to ‘borrow’ anything you find here!
Yeah, McDonalds used to be a fun exterior, even if their food was blech, but now … B-O-R-I-N-G … and the food is still blech. And where’s Ronald? And the playgrounds? Sigh.

Still in a bit of pique with your less than sufficient deference to the GOAT Dylan.😒Nice catch with all the dogs and Roy Uberson. Which gave me a thought since a dearth of Dylan has plagued your life perhaps a week of Dylan covers that have charted? 😀You could even play Hendricks!💖

Mea culpa!!! Glad you liked the video, though. Sigh. I will consider … I said “consider” a Dylan week, but no promises. What … a “Dylan-Hendricks” week? 🙄 Loved the giraffe … they should have focused more on the giraffe and less on the weird guy with face paint!!!

Love the Mickey Mouse one, I love any mouse jokes as we used to have lots of pet mice. On breakfast tv this morning was a little cctv film a chap took in his shed. He wondered who was tidying up the bench every night, turned out it was a mouse, carefully picking up bits and pieces and putting them in a tray!

I had a pet mouse when I was around 10-11 years old! I loved it, but needless to say, my mother hated it with a passion! I saw that same video on the New York Times website … it was titled “Welsh Tidy Mouse”! I loved it!

You think you’ve got it cold? The end of January freeze came at the wrong end of January this year.
LikeLiked by 3 people
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr … yeah, as I wrote that I thought of you and KNEW it would be much colder in Alberta than it is here!
LikeLiked by 1 person
I just said that cuz I knew you expected it. It is true, but cold i relative to what you are used to. Someone from Flori-duh would freeze in Cincinatti. I’m from Manitoba, so Alberta isn’t that cold. It just sounds like it.

You’re right … it’s relative to what we’re used to, and I think that the older we get, the less easily our bodies can adapt. It’s not even all that cold here, relative to what it usually is in the winter, but I’m f-f-freezing!!!

If your area was like ours, temperatures in December were above normal. We had to wear winter coats, but we didn’t have the wind off the glacier nearby. Now that wind is blowing, and I don’t want to go outside unless I have to.

I never wear a winter coat … sweatshirt and a jacket is it for me. If that isn’t enough, then I just stay home! But yes, our December was, for the most part, warmer than average, as was our entire summer. I guess that’s why the cold now seems so … COLD!

I saw the weather for your area on the news today — actually the weather for most of North America from what you call the north and up. Freezing temperatures, high winds, and 30 cms (12 in) of snow. That sounds like blizzard conditions to me. Where the hell did that come from…
Or is that a warning from Mother Nature: 2024 is going to be an extreme year!

We didn’t get the worst of it … it’s 35° F and just rain, no snow or ice … yet. But yeah, other places got bombarded with heavy snowfall, and then in the south there were devastating tornadoes. But people will keep denying that climate change is real until they take their last, gasping breath.

It’s my 8.00 am-ish Monday visit to your much welcomed Monday post Jill 😀.
Thanks for the chuckles. Bjorn The Well-Read is going to stay in my head now! Earl is more adventurous than I am, I’d do the journey from my laptop.
Thanks once more for another stellar collection.

Awwww … good to see you here, and I’m so glad you look forward to Jolly Mondays! And I’m especially glad if we coaxed a smile, or maybe even a chuckle with Bjorn the Well-Read, and Pickles! Yeah, at this point in my life I would do the journey from my laptop, too, but once upon a time I dreamt of maybe hiking from coast-to-coast.
