Jolly Monday From The North Pole!

Good morning friends!  Once again it seems that Monday has rolled around … why does it come so much quicker than Friday and why does Monday last longer than the entire weekend?  When I got up yesterday morning, it was a whopping 3° F (16° C)!!!  I’ve come to envy bears who can hibernate in their nice warm caves until spring!  Anyway, let’s see if we can dispel some of that cold with some laughs … but first, let’s grab a snack and a nice warm drink!

Let’s start with some animal memes for a few chuckles …

And Jolly found a few funny pictures he wants to share with you …

And now … it’s … ‘TOON TIME!!!

A few memes to add to the humour …

Sorry … I couldn’t resist!

And now … it just wouldn’t be Jolly Monday without a cute or funny critter video, would it?  I think you’ll love this parrot!

Well, friends, it’s that time again … time for us to go forth and either be productive or crawl back under the covers and hibernate ’til the thermometer says it’s above freezing out there!  I hope you’re leaving with a smile on your face and in your heart!  Stay warm and keep safe this week, and please don’t forget to share a smile here ‘n there!  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly, & Joyful!

  1. There were many good ones again, Jill, thank you! And I like the banana dophins, I will try that for breakfast one day.
I love parrots, but as they say in the video, they can get very old, and then they have to change owner again.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed them, Stella! I laughed and laughed over the banana dolphins! I loved the parrot video, but I also had the same concern … hopefully the woman in the video will live to be 100, or at least have someone ready to give the parrot a new forever home.

  2. Well, I had two favorites that slipped right out of my mind when I saw the penguin face password toon-awesome! Thanks for another great Monday collection, Jill! I hope you warm up. Today is the first day in 2 weeks that it reached above freezing, and it’ll stay just above 32 yet not quite 33 degrees F overnight. Guess I won’t have to drip the faucets, at least! 🤣

    • I’m so happy that you enjoyed Jolly Monday!!! It warmed up to around 42° here today and the snow began to melt, but tonight we have rain that is freezing as soon as it hits the ground, since the ground is still so cold. Should make for an interesting morning commute! I’m glad to be retired! Ahhhhh … so you have to leave the faucets dripping, too! I don’t have to here unless it drops to around zero, but when I had a house I always had to! Have a good week ahead, my friend!

  3. I wish I could hibernate like a bear too and wake up in Spring! 😊 The people that believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows must be Trump supporters. 😆

    • 🤣 Yeah, I keep politics out of Jolly Monday, but … I just couldn’t pass that one up!!! Whoever came up with that is a genius! I’m so glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday and hope you got a bit of bacon! It’s warmer today … even got above freezing, so for the first time in about a week, I’m not wrapped in a blanket! Have a good week, my friend!

        • OH NO!!! I wondered when you first described how you felt, but I was hoping I was wrong and it was just a bit of a chill. I’m so sorry, my friend. Take good care of yourself and I will be keeping you in my heart and my thoughts. 💝

          • You are lovely, thank you 💖it could be much worse. I had not expected to get it at all. I bet I was completely immune… haha. The result surprised me totally. Now I am another member of the club 😄 So, what, in a few days this all is over 💁‍♀️

  5. Jill, excellent assortment. Love the Dorothy one. It is apropos as one of my favorite analogies of Trump is the Wizard himself – ignore the man behind the curtain. With that said, the better analogy is the Queen of Hearts from “Alice in Wonderland.” Off with a critic’s head she/ he would exclaim. Keith

    • I make it my goal not to bring politics into Jolly Monday, but every now and then … this was just too perfect to pass up! Oh yes, I’ve used the “Off with their heads” many times in the past decade!

    • He’s on his way … you better prepare Joey for a new brother … he’ll have to share his toys, food, and stuff.

I’m glad you enjoyed the bacon and the humour! And thanks … for saving a bit of bacon for Larry, Larry, Emily and the others! I’m sure they appreciated it!

  7. Oh Jill, ALL of this is priceless. I can’t even name one or 10 I like best. They are all so, so good. I truly got scared however when I saw the pic of the headless gymnasiast (?). That was plain ridiculous – but also ridiculously funny. This is really a fantastic and rich crop. Thank you my frozen friend – it’s cold here too but in no way possible compared to your corner of this earth. Stay inside and stay warm.

    • WOW, Kiki!!! That makes me so happy, knowing how much you enjoyed Jolly Monday this week! I hope the rest of your week is jolly, too!!! The temperature climbed above freezing today and some of the snow has melted, so … much better!!!

  8. The parrot story was great, but I am concerned that if the parrot lives for 80 years, it will have to have someone to look after it when the lady dies.
Great funnies as always, I enjoy the henpecked old man and forgetting his newspaper was a classic.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • I had the same thought, Pete. Hopefully she has kids or grandkids who will give the parrot the same sort of love she is giving him … or maybe she’ll live another 80 years, too! Glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday! Have a great week ahead!

  9. So I was up and couldn’t get back down. Waiting for the 3AM demons to come I fired up some Dire Straits and came to Filosofa’s to see what fresh hell awaits the day. Anyway Ace comes and wants to see what else is up at 3AM and 3*F and the 25 yr old is asking the music be turned down for interfering with his game play. The demons never came. Afraid of the smiles I guess.😉 As stated by one of the world’s great philosophers in one of the panels “Why should I have been the lucky one?”
