Jolly Monday Rides Again … And Again … And Again!

Good Monday Morning, Friends!  Cold enough out there for you?  The sun has actually shone for parts of the last two days, so even though it’s still chilly, I have no complaints.  Did you all have a great weekend?  Ready to get back to the salt mines and work hard for another week?  Well, since today is Monday, Joyful, Jolly and I are going to do our very best to try to start your week off with some humour to see you through the coming week!  Joyful has baked up some goodies to make our mouths smile, so let’s go grab a snack first …

See … I even remembered the bacon for all you bacon-lovers

First off we’ve got just a few cute pictures for you …

And some funny signs …

And now for the ‘toons!!!

Thanks to our friend Scottie for this one!

Just a few memes, since my collection is starting to overflow …

And last, but never least, it’s time for this week’s cute/funny animal video.  Typically these are about cats or dogs or domesticated birds, maybe even penguins or polar bears, but this is the first time I can recall a cute animal video about … an octopus!  You’re gonna love it!

And now, folks, I’m sad to say the party’s over.  Time for us all to get back into our weekly routine.  I love the gorgeous smiles I see on your faces, so be sure to share them with others this week … let’s see how many smiles we can put on other people’s faces!  Keep warm and have a great week, dear friends.  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!!!

  1. Grr. I don’t think my comment went through. Great chuckles, and loved the octopus video. I hope you are out of harm’s way in those floods and storms. ❤

    • Hi Debby!!! Let’s see … I rescued this comment from the ‘pending’ folder, and two others from the ‘Spam’ folder! WordPress was really angry with you today, eh? I’m so glad you enjoyed Jolly Monday and the little octopus! Yes, no storms here … we had a sunny day with temps around 46° … most of the flooding, I think, is on the west coast. 💝

  2. Hello. First I need to start how as a diabetic unable in the real world to enjoy the sweets you posted I have to say I enjoyed them greatly. Thank you … I say as I reach for my insulin. 😀😂😃😋

Jill I enjoy your insight into politics, I love your rants and snark on daily political stuff. But I have to admit the two posts you make that I look forward most are the Jolly Monday ones and the good people ones. Sometimes when I am feeling very low and need a grand uplifting boost, there you are with these wonderful posts. All I can add is a heartfelt “Thank You”. Hugs. Scottie

      • Hmmmm … now you’d have to ask a zoologist or a marine biologist about that, for I have no idea! I suppose if you went about introducing them just right, they might become lifetime friends! Otherwise, the otter would likely eat the octopus … but I don’t see you eating anyone, so you’d probably get along just fine! Hugs

    • Ha ha … yes, Scottie, as a fellow Type I diabetic, I fully understand. We sneak just a few bites here and there, then take an extra unit of insulin next time … but don’t tell anyone! 😉

I’m so glad that my Jolly Monday and Good People Wednesday posts bring you a boost when you need it, Scottie! The socio-political scene is my forte, but I found long ago that we need balance in our lives, need to sometimes come up out of the rabbit hole and enjoy a bit of sunlight. You are most welcome, my friend, and thank YOU for all your kindness and support! Hugs

  3. A fine collection today, Jill! I had 3 favorites, but by the time I’d finished the Egbert vid, it took their place in my heart. Thank you so much!

  5. Judging by the fancy-ness of the restaurant and the gentrified customers I’m guessing that was the waiter’s last day in that particular job and he wanted it to be memorable.
Earl would make a great Batman no villain can stand against a retired geezer’s cynicism.
