Well, folks … it’s Saturday. A snowy, cold one here … well, actually the sun is shining, but there is snow on the ground from last night’s snowfall and it is several degrees below freezing. I’m working on a more serious post but for some reason I am strangely unable to focus today, so … since it’s Saturday and since you need a bit of end of the week ‘humour’, I decided to empty my political cartoon file and share the latest ‘cream of the crop’!

Oh, they’ll find some way to justify/rationalize it … just as they always find a way to cover for Trump’s many nasties! I did laugh about the way Putin put down ol’ Tucker, though!

I think Putin might be realising that the current US Right is not as useful. They don’t appreciate the subtleties of the game. Be subservient by all means but do it with some style and careful sub-texts.
That interview fooled no one, and Putin knew it.

Putin’s fate is in the hands of Mother Russia’s way. Not even Stalin escaped that. [ Stalin might have survived his stroke had not everyone been afraid to ‘tamper’ with his body, lest he thought that was an assassination attempt ]
Trump, sadly we shall have to wait for him to die in bed, otherwise MAGA will play the martyr card. It will be bad enough anyway with stomach churning tributes (Trust me. We lived through Thatcher’s passing)

I didn’t know that about Stalin! I can see it, though.
Yes, any assassination or death by ‘unnatural’ causes would immediately be blamed directly on Biden by the maga crowd, but I think even if he died of a heart attack or choked on his Big Mac, the conspiracy theorists would have a field day, and the ignorant would play right into their hands. Sigh.

The world has always been a fractious and uncomfortable place.
One of the unintended consequences of the World Wide Web was that Intolerance, Hate and Ignorance were allowed to expanded exponentially.

You’re right, of course, but it seems that it used to be easier to make a bit of sense of, that most people would at least listen to other views beside their own. I do think that the internet and social media have played a large role in the hatred and violence we’re seeing today, in the rise of bigotry in all its many forms. Hmmmm … maybe we should just let Russia nuke our satellites out of space and go back to communicating one-on-one, face-to-face with people. Puts everyone on a more level playing field.

Trouble with that is, they’d put their own up and flood the media waves with their version of things, and as we both know there are no amount of folk who’d gladly chew on that! (Here Tucker-Tucker-Tucker. Whose a good boy then? Yes you are, yes you are)
Of course the Chinese would want to have their say too.
