Tate v Thunberg

A few months ago, the name Andrew Tate crossed my radar. I initially wrote him off as just another attention-seeker. Then he crossed my radar a few more times and I came to think of him as the nastiest piece of garbage I had ever heard of, bar none, but I did not write about him for I was not willing to give him the attention he so obviously craves. But this week, ol’ Andy was taken down by the best … Greta Thunberg … and I am sharing Clay Jones version of the incident. Thumbs up to you, Greta Thunberg! You rock!

Conservative men who flaunt their toxic masculinity love to troll liberals on the internet. But it’s never a good idea for a 36-year-old man to troll a teenage girl. It’s bullying, creepy, sexist, and just wrong. And they especially shouldn’t do it if the teenage girl is smarter than they are…which of course, most of them are.

Andrew Tate is a self-proclaimed misogynist. His entire brand is built on his character, which is being a right-wing sexist asshole.

He’s a former kickboxing champion who went on to greater fame when his fighting career ended. He was on the British reality TV show Big Brother until he was removed in 2016 after a video surfaced that appeared to show him physically assaulting a woman.

British-American Tate has been quoted saying he’s “absolutely a misogynist” and “I’m a realist and when you’re a realist, you’re sexist. There’s no way you can be…

Pro-Birther Priorities

The claim of being “pro-life” becomes a complete hypocrisy in the case of the 10-year-old child who was raped, became pregnant, and could not have an abortion in her own state. The life of the young girl, a child, was not at all important to the “Pro-Lifers”. Is this case a chilling premonition of things to come? I hope not, but I’m afraid so. Clay Jones sums it up far better than I ever could …

claytoonz

Republicans’ first talking point after learning a ten-year-old girl had to cross state lines to get an abortion after being impregnated by a rapist was to say it wasn’t true.

A child was raped and impregnated. She couldn’t get an abortion in her home state of Ohio because the GOP in that state banned abortions after six weeks with no exceptions for rape or incest. She was pregnant for six weeks and three days. So, she went to Indiana for the procedure. Republicans said this story was “too good to be true” for Democrats.

In saying the story was too good to be true, in that Democrats could use it politically against the GOP’s stupid backward knuckle-dragging cave-dwelling anti-women policies, Republicans were admitting that forcing a ten-year-old to give birth to her rapist’s baby is fucking horrible and an outrage. That’s the policy they support but they don’t want you…

Shinzo

Clay Jones lends his thoughts to the tragic assassination of former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe. Last year, Japan had one gun death … the U.S. had over 45,000. Pay particular attention to the 12 steps a Japanese citizen must go through in order to qualify to own a gun. Japan actually HAS requirements, testing, mental health evaluations and all the things that could save so many lives if only the U.S. weren’t a third-world, gun crazy nation!

claytoonz

Japan is in shock over the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He was a towering figure in the nation having served as Prime Minister twice, stepping down both times for health reasons. He was shot while campaigning for the Liberal Democratic Party, which is actually the conservative party of Japan that consists of right-wing nationalists. Abe was the longest-serving Prime Minister in post-war history.

The nation isn’t just shocked over the assassination, which many are comparing to the assassination of JFK, but that he was murdered with a gun in broad daylight and that the shooter was able to get so close to him.

Japan has strict gun control laws and shootings are rare. Japan doesn’t have a gun-worshiping culture as we do here in the United States. Even the Yakuza, Japan’s mafia, refrains from using guns. Just one person was killed by gun violence in Japan in…

Open Border

And speaking of immigration … Clay Jones sums it up nicely in both a ‘toon and his commentary …

claytoonz

There are a lot of fallacies that persist in this country, mostly due to Republican messaging. Republicans love spreading lies like Critical Race Theory is being taught, liberals are groomers, there’s something on Hunter Biden’s laptop, election fraud stole the election from Trump, the January 6 attack on the Capitol building was a protest, Tucker Carlson’s testicles have dropped, and there’s nothing dangerous about giving the nuclear code to a 300-pound orange toddler who has ketchup tantrums. But let’s focus on two that deal with immigration, and we’re not even going to talk about the lie that George Soros is paying for migrant caravans.

The first one is that immigration is the greatest threat facing this nation. It is not the greatest threat. It’s not even close. The greatest threats facing this nation are hate, division, false information, climate change, war on women and minorities, Ted Cruz, Rudy Giuliani farting…

The Week’s Best Cartoons 5/21 by TokyoSand

This week the cartoonists had plenty of material to work with from right-wing conspiracy theories to the temporary shortage of infant formula to the mid-term primaries.  As she always does so well, TokyoSand has culled the cream of the crop for us and I have copied just a few of them here, but be sure to visit Political Charge (link at bottom) for the rest, for there are some real winners there!  Thank you, TS, for all you do!

There are many more over at Political Charge, so be sure to check out the rest of the ‘toons!

Domestic Infant Supply

The Supreme Court draft of the decision to be handed down on Roe v Wade was heinous enough, but the wording has set my teeth on edge even more. Clay Jones of Claytoonz fame gives us his take and as usual, he is spot on! Thanks, Clay!

claytoonz

What was leaked out of the Supreme Court last week was a draft and not the final written opinion for the majority. Chief Justice John Roberts has confirmed its authenticity but has declared this isn’t actually the final vote, though it is. But, I’m sure the draft will change because what we saw from the leak is a rough draft before someone was able to tell Justice Samuel Alito not to say the quiet part out loud.

I’m sure at some point, a law clerk would have suggested they remove the line about women being cattle.

At first, I thought this was some social media meme propaganda. Liberals do that stuff too which really pisses me off because we don’t have to make shit up to fight Republicans. They give us all the facts we need. And it sounded so ridiculous that I immediately smelled bullshit. A Supreme Court Justice…

Cartoon Bully

Clay Jones of Claytoonz is more than just a cartoonist … he is also a sharp political analyst and his posts are often as astute as any of the OpEd columnists. The battle for the 2024 GOP nomination for president has already begun and from all indications, it will be a bloodbath with neither candidate qualified for the office, but heck … in this day, who cares about pesky little things like qualifications, right? Anyway, thank you, Clay, for putting pen to paper on this one!

claytoonz

Ron De Santis is a bully. Republicans LOVE bullies. It’s why they love Donald Trump so much. Republicans believe bullying people weaker than you is a sign of strength. It’s also why they love Putin. But, bullying is just like it was in school. The bullies are cowards. They only pick on whom they believe they can beat up.

Remember when Donald Trump tried to bully Nancy Pelosi? Remember him crawling up his own bunghole when they were in the same room together and then Pelosi walked out of the White House putting on her shades like a boss? Remember when Donald Trump shut down the government until Congress would fund his racist border wall? Remember when Pelosi kicked his ass so hard that he reopened the government and the great dealmaker walked away with less than he started with? Remember when he tried to bully Hillary Clinton at the…

Mr. Zelenskyy Goes To Washington

Clay Jones of Claytoonz was spot on yesterday, as he most always is …

claytoonz

As Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky virtually addressed Congress today, I wondered, “What did they do with Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, and Madison Cawthorn? For that matter, how dare any member of the Republican Party attend who had refused to impeach Donald Trump for his attempt to extort the Ukrainian president.

During President Biden’s State of the Union address to Congress, Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene heckled and cackled like mean girls throughout his speech. In order not to risk further embarrassment to his party, or even worse, the nation, did Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy lock them in the congressional basement? There’s no real reason for the most ridiculous members of Congress to attend anyway since none of them have ever expressed any interest in doing their jobs. Did Marco Rubio tweet a selfie with Zelensky on the monitor behind him to show he’s not…

Borschting For Freedom

I was planning to write about the ludicrous “trucker convoy” that is expected to arrive sometime today in Washington, D.C., but then Clay Jones did it for me and did it better than I could have, ’cause he can draw in addition to writing! Seriously, though, the truckers are protesting mask/vaccine mandates, most of which have already ended, so … as Clara Peller used to say, “Where’s the beef?”

claytoonz

The Freedom Truckers hauling bullshit and snowflakes have picked a really bad time to pretend their freedom is under attack. It’s kinda like protesting the War on Christmas in July. There are not a lot of takers.

First, all the mandates they’re protesting against are being lifted. Second, it’s really hard to gain pity for being forced to wear a face mask in a Dunkin’ Donuts when there are Ukrainian grandmas facing down Soviet tanks.

These truckers, organized by white nationalists, want to whine and complain but they don’t have anything to complain about. In the 1953 classic, “The Wild One,” outlaw biker Johnny Strabler, played by Marlon Brando, is asked by Mildred, just some girl in the movie I think, what he’s rebelling against. Johnny’s reply is, “What’ve you got?” If Mildred had replied something about having to wear a face mask at Denny’s, Johnny might’ve just rolled out…

Puppet Propaganda

Clay Jones has really hit the nail on the head with this post … be sure to read his commentary for he is spot on!

claytoonz

We talked about this a few days ago, but let’s talk about it again.

Donald Trump and others are claiming the reason Vladimir Putin didn’t invade Ukraine during Trump’s presidency (sic) is that Donald Trump was tough on Putin. Putin was afraid of Trump. Putin respected Trump.

This is the most ridiculous babbling brain-dead horseshit head-stuck-up-an-ass nonsense that can be spoken today. It’s as ludicrous as believing Trump won the election, or there were bamboo ballots and Italian satellites in play. Trump was tough on Putin? As Sarah Marshall said to Aldous Snow in the great film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.”

Donald Trump was Putin’s puppet. Hillary Clinton said so during her debate with Trump in 2016. She was right. In fact, Vladimir Putin was afraid of Hillary Clinton. Vladimir Putin meddled in our election to install Donald Trump as president (sic). Hillary Clinton is Vladimir Putin’s…
