Good Cold Monday morning, dear friends!  I hope you’re all staying warm, that nobody has power outages or furnace problems, for wherever you are in the U.S., it is c-c-cold!  Our high today was 11° F, which interestingly translates to –11° C!  I don’t know what Joyful has been cooking up in the kitchen, but I hope it’s something nice and warm!  Let’s go see, grab a snack, and then go find some fun & funny things to start the week with a smile, okay?

Jolly Monday In The Frozen Tundra

G-g-good m-m-morning, friends!  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr … come in … quick, close the door behind you … it is so c-c-cold that when I sneeze or cough, ice crystals come out of my nose and mouth.  Okay, okay … slight exaggeration there.  According to the thermometer it’s nearly 70° in here and I haven’t set foot outside today, yet I sit here bundled in sweatshirt, sweatpants, and thick knit socks, and still shivering!  Is it almost spring yet? 🌴

I hope Joyful made something nice and hot for our snack this morning … let’s go check it out and then we’ll go in search of  some humour to warm us!

Jolly Thanksgiving Week Monday!

Well, I don’t know where the year has gone, but here we are back around to the holiday season again!  Time is racing and I cannot keep up with it … can I just go to sleep and wake up next year sometime when it’s all over?  Sigh.  At any rate, I do hope everyone will have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, maybe sharing it with family & friends, and then get busy with that d@#$%& Christmas shopping!  Meanwhile … let’s forget all of that for now and just try to find some smiles and chuckles on this Monday morning!  I think Joyful has planned some sort of feast for this morning, but she wouldn’t let me in on her secret … wouldn’t even let me into the kitchen!  So, let’s go see what she’s cooked up for us!

I wanted to make up for the times I haven’t made bacon on a Monday, so here’s an assortment of bacon stuff!

Good Jolly Monday morning, friends!  Turned rather cold out there, didn’t it?  Come on in and get warm … just give your jackets to Jolly and he’ll take care of them until you’re ready to leave later.  So, how was your weekend?  Do anything fun?  Me?  Nah … I did give myself some time off Saturday to read … and nap … and read some more, so that was nice, but otherwise I stayed contentedly indoors this weekend.  Do you realize it’s only 42 days until Christmas???  Sheesh … I still haven’t recovered from last Christmas and here comes another!  I’m trying to talk the girls out of having a tree this year, but I already know that’s a losing battle, so I guess I’m mostly doing it for the humour factor.  I have got a bit of my shopping started, so I guess that’s a plus.

Happy Groundhog Day Monday

No, we know it isn’t the official Groundhog Day which happens on February 2nd, but Monday starts to feel like that movie with Bill Murray where it keeps happening over and over and over, ad infinitum.  Ah well … we love Mondays, right?  Back to the routine that keeps us grounded.  Joyful has been in the kitchen making pizzas all morning, while Jolly went out for some coffee and treats to help Joyful out, so let’s head over to the buffet table and see what they’ve put out for our Monday morning palate and then we’ve got some things to (hopefully) put a smile on your face to start off the week.

How is it Monday again already???  It was just Monday a few days ago … we didn’t even have a weekend, did we?  Who is robbing me of time?  Sigh.  Well anyway, according to my calendar it is, in fact, Monday and thus I need to go to the closet and see if I can find my Monday happy face!  Oh … there it is … 😒 … or perhaps not.  How ’bout this one … 🥺?  Ah well, it’ll turn up, I’m sure.  Meanwhile, let’s head over and see what yummies Joyful has for us this morning, and then let’s try to find some humour to start this week out on the right foot, ‘k?  OH!  And before I forget, Jolly, Joyful and I would like to wish a very HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY to our friend Roger and his lovely wife of 50 years, Sheila!!!  Love you guys!!!

Good Monday Morning once again, dear friends!  How was your weekend?  I hope it was at least peaceful and that the weather was nice.  It was here … both peaceful and lovely with blue skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.  The girls went to a local fall festival on Saturday and had a nice time … I gather it was mostly a collection of food trucks, and they brought me back a cup of blackberry ice cream that I enjoyed!  And now, the weekend is done and it’s time to get back to the daily grind.  We — Jolly, Joyful and I — are here to start your week with some smiles, chuckles, and maybe even a laugh or two!  So, let’s see what Joyful has for us on the buffet table and then seek something to start the week off on a happy note.

Good Monday morning, dear friends!  Gonna be a hot one this week … mid-to-upper 90s all week with heat indexes into the 100+ mark.  You-know-who will be staying inside this week!  Did you all have a good weekend?  Ours was quiet … well, mine and Goose’s was … Chris had a band event on Saturday for most of the afternoon/evening, and practice yesterday for several hours.  But now it’s Monday … back to the routine, nose back to the grindstone and all that stuff.  We hope we can help you start the week with some humour to put a smile on your faces!  Since we offered an Asian buffet last Monday with no bacon, this week’s menu is centered around bacon from start to finish for all our bacon lovers!  So, help yourself to a snack and let’s see if we can find something to laugh about!
