Hello fwiends!  Jolly Monday dis week is brought to you by me ‘n Joyful, ’cause Gwammie is in a wabbit hole and Uncle David is workin’ on gettin’ her out, but we couldn’t let you start da week without some laughs, so we did the best we could without her!  Joyful was busy helpin’ me wid da ‘toons ‘n stuff, so we just picked up some donuts for da mornin’ snack … I hope dat’s okay.  So, go get a donut an’ a coffee and come see what fun stuff we found for you!

Good Jolly Monday morn, my friends!  Come in out of the cold, warm your hands by the fire … oh wait, we don’t have a fireplace.  So, how was your weekend?  Ours was cold, but we did make a trip to the bookstore and Fresh Market yesterday, which was kind of nice, considering I almost never get out of the house these days.  I’m not sure what Joyful has on the buffet this morning, for she said she was planning to keep it simple today, but let’s go see, and then we’ll find some fun to start this week off on the right foot, okay?

Jolly First-Monday-Of-2023!

Good first-Monday-of-2023 my friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to delve back into the routine today!  While I enjoyed the holidays, I am more than ready to get back into the routine, finish off the leftovers, put my kitchen back to some semblance of order, etc.  I’m a creature of routine and the smallest deviation throws me off in nearly every way.  As Joyful, Jolly and I are all fairly exhausted this morning, we sent Jolly out for donuts and coffee, but Joyful did fry up some bacon, because we promised our bacon-lovers last week that after a 2-week dry spell, we would have bacon for them this week!  So, grab a donut, some bacon, and a nice hot cuppa and let’s see if we can find some fun to start off the week!

Well, friends, another Monday morn has come and gone and now it’s time for us all to get back to the daily routine.  Chris is out of town on business this week, so it’s just Miss Goose and I … we will be taking down Christmas decorations and cleaning and putting the house back to some sort of order!  Wish us luck!  I hope you all have a safe and happy week ahead, and please do remember to share those lovely smiles … something as simple as a smile can sometimes mean so much to a person.  Love ‘n hugs from Filosofa, Jolly and Joyful!

Jolly Post-Christmas Monday!

Jolly, Joyful and I were actually planning to take this morning off, apologize later for having no Jolly Monday, for we were tired … plumb tuckered out.  But then, Jolly popped over to Phil’s Phun to wish ol’ Phil a Happy Holiday, and he found so many funny Christmas puns, memes, and ‘toons that he came back with a Santa-sized bag of them, so what were we to do?  We couldn’t just leave them lying around for a whole week, by which time it would be a new year, and if we put them into storage ‘til next year, no doubt we would forget about them.  So, while the buffet today is slim, consisting mostly of a few treats Jolly picked up from the bakery on his way back from Phil’s, we do hope you enjoy the final Christmas fun post of this year!  And we promise, this will be the last mention of Christmas for a year!!!

Jolly Monday … Short, But Still Jolly

Okay … so, I was sleeping happily … well, maybe not happily, but I was sleeping amidst the monsters that inhabit my sleep these days … when Jolly came jumping on my bed, screaming “Gwammie, get up, it’s Jolly Monday and our fwiends will be here inna minute an’ we gots no food laid out ‘cause Joyful spended the night with Uncle Woger and Aunt Sheila!!!”  Sheesh, Jolly.  I tried to roll over and tell him to forget Jolly Monday, but noooooooo … Jolly Monday, he tells me, must go on, our ‘fwiends’ have come to count on us to start their week with a smile.  Okay, fine … go get donuts, Jolly, and I’ll get up and pull something together.  And thus, my friends, was the start of this week’s Jolly Monday, so please forgive us if it isn’t quite up to our usual.  Ahhhh … I think I see Jolly coming up the walkway with donuts and coffee now …

Since there is no bacon on the table today for the bacon-lovers among you, how about some bacon memes instead?  (We promise bacon will be back on the menu next week)

Jolly “Fat Bear” Monday!

Good Monday morning, friends!  I hope you all had a relaxing and peaceful weekend and that you’re ready to face another week!  Mine was good … nothing exciting, but then these days I prefer ‘normal’ to ‘exciting’ anyway.  Joyful has been cooking up something in the kitchen this morning, so let’s grab a snack and go in search of some fun to bring smiles to start the week on the right foot … or the left foot … either one is good.

This is the 6th day in Fat Bear Week, which runs from October 5th thru October 11th.  Seems a bit odd to me that the week is from Wednesday thru Tuesday, but I guess perhaps bears have a different calendar than humans do!  If you want to know more about Fat Bear week, check out my post in 2018, or this article about this year’s contest.

Sock gone AWOL …

You know about those socks that sometimes go AWOL in the dryer, right?  They’ve been the brunt of jokes and the frustration of people for ages.  I found the solution long ago … all of my socks are the same colour (white) and the same brand, so there’s never a stray without a mate. Anyway … over at Phil’s Phun last week, there was a feature about those pesky stray socks and we found some humorous bits …

I always enjoy the music puns, though sometimes it takes me a while to figure them out …

Good Monday morning, dear friends!  Are you ready to face the week head-on, to meet all those challenges that are out there just waiting for you?  Yeah … me too … let’s all just go back to bed.  But, since we can’t do that, let’s have a little snack and some fun stuff to fortify us for the week ahead, shall we?  Joyful has been working in the kitchen for a while now, so let’s go see what she’s got for us …

Jolly Funday Monday!

Good Monday morning once again!  Why does it always seem that Monday comes ‘round faster than, say Friday?  At any rate, I hope you all had a good weekend with a bit of fun included along the way.  We mostly stayed in this weekend … the girls went out shopping for some baby things for our friend Maha who is due to deliver a baby girl next month, but I stayed home where the air is a little more breathable.  Joyful first said she wasn’t cooking this morning due to the heat, but then when I smelled food and meandered into the kitchen, she told me to “GET OUT!” … so I’m not sure what’s on the table this morning, but let’s go see, shall we?

Today is PIZZA DAY!!!  There’s even a bacon pizza for our bacon lovers!

Jolly HOT July Monday!!!

Good {yawn} Monday morn, friends {yawn}.  Have I mentioned that I HATE holidays that involve fireworks?  People here in da hood apparently thought it would be great fun to put off fireworks Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night until the wee hours of the morning {yawn}.  And I’m sure they’ll carry it over into tonight, as well.  Ah well … thus far I haven’t taken my wooden rolling pin and gone out threatening to bash any heads in, so I’m doing better than last year.  I hope you all had a quieter weekend than we did!  And now, we begin another week … the first full week of July.  So … to start the week and month out with a smile, Jolly, Joyful and I have dug up some fun things!  First, though, let’s see what Joyful has cooked up for us …
