Monday morn, dear friends, and WELCOME!  It’s always so good to see you on Monday morning … it somehow helps start the week out right, y’know?  I’m in just a bit of a funk this morning, so hopefully spending time with you guys and finding a bit of humour here and there will help.  But first, let’s go see what Joyful has cooked up for us today … I know I smell bacon!!!

Good Monday morn, my friends!  It’s hard to believe it’s already May!  Where did the first four months of the year go?  It was just Christmas a couple of weeks ago, wasn’t it?  I hope your weekend was everything you hoped it would be and more!  That said, isn’t it great to get back to work, back into the routine and not have to be bothered trying to figure out what to do next?  Yes, I’ve lost my bloody mind!  Anyway, a simple fare on the table today, but never fear … there’s plenty of bacon for those bacon-lovers among you!  Let’s go grab a bite and then find a way to make this Monday morning special!

Good Monday morning, dear friends!  Looks like it’s gonna be another weird weather week for us here in the U.S. with more heavy snow forecast in the west and more severe storms here on the eastern half of the nation.  yippee.  Since Easter is next Sunday, I think Joyful has cooked up some Easter delicacies for your snacking pleasure this morning!  So, grab a snack and let’s find some fun stuff to bring us a smile in spite of the weather!

Jolly Ice Cream Monday!

Good Monday morning once again, friends!  Did you all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend?  Have you noticed that the weekends seem to be shorter these days?  Maybe because for a while there, during November, December, and January, there were so many holiday extended weekends and we’re not used to just two days.  But alas, it is Monday now, time to start a fresh new week with new challenges to combat!  Apart from a frigid start, with temps well below zero from Christmas thru New Years, it has been unseasonably warm here, even reaching 68° last Wednesday, and predicted to do the same later this week.  So, in honour of a summery winter, Joyful and I thought it would be a good time to have an ice cream party!  So, head over to the table and grab a treat, then we’ll find some fun to start the week off!

Good Monday morning dear friends!  Come in out of the c-c-cold and warm yourselves by the {imaginary} fireplace!  I suppose you’re all pretty well exhausted from a busy weekend of shopping, baking, partying, etc?  Me?  I stayed home all weekend … what shopping I’ve done has been online, I don’t do parties, and Miss Goose has taken over the baking chores this season, leaving me free to read, snooze, write my blog, and snooze some more.  I’ll be happy, though, when the holidays are over … I just seem to be lacking the joy, the spirit, this year.  Anyway, Joyful has cooked up some treats for you, so grab a snack and let’s go in search of something to put a smile on your faces!

Jolly Turkey Day Monday

Well, well, well … here it is Monday yet again!  Where does the time go?  I hope you all had a peaceful weekend.  Our friends in western New York got up to 77 inches of snow in some places, and I heard from at least one who had been out shoveling and not enjoying it much!  We had frigid temperatures, and a bit of snow earlier in the week, but the weekend was dry … and c-c-cold!  Since Thursday is Thanksgiving here in the U.S. — the wrong one, according to my Canadian friends — Joyful and I decided to cook you up a Thanksgiving feast this morning!  So, go grab a plate and we’ll go digging for some jolly stuff to start the week with a smile.

Jolly found us a few new Thanksgiving-related cartoons while I dug back through the archives and dug up a few ‘oldies but goodies’ …

And to wrap up Jolly Monday, naturally we must have a cute animal video, right?  I love watching the squirrels and the birds in our back yard in the mornings … we feed the squirrels mostly peanuts in the shell, and a mix of bird seed for the birds.  The squirrels are ingrates, because no matter how much we feed them out back, they still eat our flower seeds when we plant them in the spring!  They dig ’em right up out of the ground!  Anyway, I do enjoy watching the squirrels, and they enjoy taunting the kitties, knowing that the kitties cannot get out through the window!  So, here’s a really cute squirrel that found what appears to be his forever home!

Jolly “Fat Bear” Monday!

Good Monday morning, friends!  I hope you all had a relaxing and peaceful weekend and that you’re ready to face another week!  Mine was good … nothing exciting, but then these days I prefer ‘normal’ to ‘exciting’ anyway.  Joyful has been cooking up something in the kitchen this morning, so let’s grab a snack and go in search of some fun to bring smiles to start the week on the right foot … or the left foot … either one is good.

This is the 6th day in Fat Bear Week, which runs from October 5th thru October 11th.  Seems a bit odd to me that the week is from Wednesday thru Tuesday, but I guess perhaps bears have a different calendar than humans do!  If you want to know more about Fat Bear week, check out my post in 2018, or this article about this year’s contest.

Sock gone AWOL …

You know about those socks that sometimes go AWOL in the dryer, right?  They’ve been the brunt of jokes and the frustration of people for ages.  I found the solution long ago … all of my socks are the same colour (white) and the same brand, so there’s never a stray without a mate. Anyway … over at Phil’s Phun last week, there was a feature about those pesky stray socks and we found some humorous bits …

Jolly Autumnal Monday

Good Monday morning, friends, Romans, countrymen!  Oh wait … do you sometimes waken in the morning and have to take a few minutes to figure out who you are, where you are, and what you’re doing here?  I think I’m not quite awake yet … happens a lot as I’ve gotten older!  Anyway, I am quite certain of the fact that today is Monday, the first one of autumn, and the last one in September.  See, I haven’t completely lost my mental acuity.  Joyful is off visiting ‘Uncle Woger’ today, and since Jolly isn’t allowed in the kitchen, I sent him out for donuts ‘n coffee for our morning snack.  No bacon today … sorry guys!  So grab a snack and then we’ve got some fun stuff for your Monday morning chuckles!
