Jolly {yawn} Sleepy {yawn} Monday!

So, how was everyone’s weekend?  Sorry we’re off to a rocky start, but I haven’t been sleeping well and it’s catching up with me, so I’m still half asleep this morning!  But, we’ve got some fun in store for you to start this week off on the right foot (or the left foot, if you, like me, are left-footed!)  But first, I know that Joyful has some treats in store, so let’s go see what’s on the buffet table and then we’ll go in search of some smiles ‘n chuckles …

Jolly Ice Cream Monday!

Good Monday morning once again, friends!  Did you all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend?  Have you noticed that the weekends seem to be shorter these days?  Maybe because for a while there, during November, December, and January, there were so many holiday extended weekends and we’re not used to just two days.  But alas, it is Monday now, time to start a fresh new week with new challenges to combat!  Apart from a frigid start, with temps well below zero from Christmas thru New Years, it has been unseasonably warm here, even reaching 68° last Wednesday, and predicted to do the same later this week.  So, in honour of a summery winter, Joyful and I thought it would be a good time to have an ice cream party!  So, head over to the table and grab a treat, then we’ll find some fun to start the week off!

Good Jolly Monday morn, my friends!  Come in out of the cold, warm your hands by the fire … oh wait, we don’t have a fireplace.  So, how was your weekend?  Ours was cold, but we did make a trip to the bookstore and Fresh Market yesterday, which was kind of nice, considering I almost never get out of the house these days.  I’m not sure what Joyful has on the buffet this morning, for she said she was planning to keep it simple today, but let’s go see, and then we’ll find some fun to start this week off on the right foot, okay?

CAN Monday Be Jolly? Come See …

Good morning and welcome to …

Yes, once again that day has rolled around … the day you put on a suit or uniform or whatever your job requires, pack a lunch, and head out the door bright and early to earn yet another dollar or pound or peso.  But here at Filosofa’s Word, our goal is to dispel that gloom and doom, to ensure that as you head out the door, you do so with a smile on your face!

Since the weather is getting cooler out there, Joyful and I thought some nice warm soup might be a good way to start the day … but never fear, bacon-lovers … there’s plenty of bacon to go around too!  I actually like a bit of crumbled bacon atop my potato soup!  So, grab a snack and a hot drink, and then we’ll see if we can find some smiles and chuckles to start the week!

Speaking of coffee, we found some funny ‘toons and memes about that substance that keeps us from falling asleep at our desks (sometimes, anyway) …

Jolly {cough, cough} Monday!

Good Monday morning, dear friends!  Yes, Monday has rolled around once again … time to drag out the suits ‘n ties, the briefcases … unless, of course, you’re retired like me and can happily stay in your jammies all day long!  Then Monday doesn’t seem so bad!  So, did you all have a fun weekend?  I stayed in … the air quality is very poor and I have enough trouble catching my breath inside the air-conditioned house, so I think it would be a very bad idea to go out in the heat & humidity and don a mask on top of it all.  I hope the weather is not so oppressive where you are!  Well, Joyful has been in the kitchen for a couple of hours now … she said she promised you guys double bacon today to make up for last Monday … so let’s go see what she’s cooked up, then go see if we can find something to tickle our funny bones and start the week with a chuckle, ‘k?
